~*~* Sarah’s Point Of View*~*~
I watched with teary eyes at the girl in front of me.
Blonde hair cascading down her back, reaching all the way to the bottom of her spine, holding this soft glow and sun-kissed color. Her eyes are sparkling under the industrial lights of King’s Cross station. She’s dressed a warm charcoal sweater, leggings, and fur-lined boots.
“Mummy,” she calls me, tugging on my sleeve. “I’m scared.”
“Don’t be scared, Bella,” I whisper to her, bending down to be eye level with her.
“But mumma,” she exhales, frost ghosting her breath. “I’m going to be a first year at Hogwarts! It’s scary!”
“Baby Bells,” James says, hustling over to her. “Don’t worry, you have the two coolest Gryffindors on your side,” he smiles, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend, Jenna.
”But what if I’m not in Gryffindor?” she asks us.
”Then we exile you like we exiled Albus,” James shrugs.
”Mummy!” Bella cries.
”Oh he’s just kidding,” I assure her with a hug.
”Really?”“Really, sweetheart. You’ll be perfect in any house. Any house will be lucky to have you.”
“But you’d be especially perfect in Gryffindor,” Ron says, ending his conversation with Draco to talk to Bella.
“Look at me, Princess,” I tell her, turning her to face me.
Her aqua eyes turn and look into mine, reflecting the crystal eyes of my deceased sister. She blinks them a few times at me, innocently, and exhales another nervous sigh.
“You have so many family members in the school to look out for you. Especially James. No matter what house you’re in, he’ll look out for you, definitely. And Joey and Emily would never abandon you.”
“Not to mention you Weasleys have a clan about fifty strong,” Audrey pipes in, appearing to my right. “Scorpius and Alex are already looking forward to having you in school with them,” she smiles genuinely. “Speaking of Scorp, I should check to make sure he doesn’t have any Weasley products on him…”
She runs off to find her prankster son, who is most likely accompanied by my prankster son. I laugh thinking about the pranks and jokes that Scorpius, Joey, and their cousins have pulled over the years, comparing them to what Fred, George, and I used to do years ago.
“And remember Bella, think really hard about lions, courage, loyalty, and scarlet and gold. If all else fails, think about Gryffindor in big sparkly letters. Anything you have to do to get in to that house.”
I turn back towards Bella, where I hear Ron giving Bella a little pep talk.
I roll my eyes at Ron’s ridiculousness and smile, thinking of how much I too want Bella to be a Gryffindor.
But then I sigh.
All three of my children will be students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in less than a week. And soon, their children’s children, and so on. Generations and generations and generations of Weasleys will have gone through those magnificent doors.
And I, Sarah Richards, will have been the first in my family. Of course, hundreds of Weasleys were there before me, but I was the first one in my family.
And thank God I was able to go there.
After the months of hell I lived in, I was able to find a sanctuary. I remember running and running until my muscles collapsed on the Weasleys’ front porch in the end of August, battered and bloody. I remember Mr. and Mrs. Weasley taking in a strange girl who needed help. I remember being sent to Hogwarts and being sorted into Gryffindor. I even remember finding out I was a Gryffindor.
Even though Bella’s childhood was not necessarily peaceful, she has so far lived a happy life. Of course, she had a small snafu when she was eight, but now, at the age of ten, she seems happy.
We share a similar childhood essentially. Everything we loved and cherishes was taken away from us, and then returned after much, much difficulty.
And I can conclude one thing;
After all of the things I experienced in my full life, I’ve learned one thing:
It may always be darkest before the dawn. But when you finally reach that dawn, it is the brightest and most satisfactory dawn you will ever find.

Hello! Sorry for the long wait, if you didn’t see my message I sent out, then let me just recap it:
My laptop was errr, broken, and I’ve been reallyyyyy unable to post. Not to mention, without fail, a case of the flu decided to strike me right before Christmas, making it a little hard to write.
On the lighter side of everything…
Happy Holidays everyone! What did you all get for Christmas or Hanukah? I got some nice stuff :D
Hope everyone’s enjoying their time off, because I sure know I am ;D
Love, Marisa <3
Merry Christmas To All, And To All A Good Night!
