“Are we there yet?” Bella asks from the backseat of Ron and I’s enchanted Jeep Wrangler.

”Yes, we’re here,” Ron replies.

“Unfortunately,” I mumble under my breath, looking out of my window to see the big brick building clearly labeled King’s Cross Station.

After we arrived home four days ago, Joey packed his trunk up, all ready to go. That night, he unpacked it and let Hermia out for a fly. The next afternoon, he repacked it and put Hermia in her cage so she was ready to go.

He doesn’t know how to feel about this. Excited? Happy? Nervous? Scared?

I look back at him, to see him looking sadly out of the window, twiddling his wand in between his fingers.

Ron pulls into a parking spot and we all shuffle out of the car. When no one is looking, I conjure up a trolley so Joey can easily carry his trunk and his owl. Ron locks the car doors and we slowly proceed into the station.

After making sure no one is looking, we run through the brick wall and arrive onto Platform 9 ¾, where we are greeted by a huge crimson colored train and hundreds of people frantically running around. I smile to myself, remembering being one of those students who was nervous beyond words for school to start.

I put my hand on Joey’s shoulder and guide him to a less crowded area on the platform. Ron leans against the wall, desperately holding Bella and Emily’s hands so they don’t get lost amongst the throngs of people passing by us.

Soon after we arrive, Audrey and Draco arrive, with Alexandria and Scorpius (who’s also pushing a large trolley) following close behind.

”Today is the day,” Audrey sighs, looking sadly at Scorpius and Joey.

“It’s been a long way coming,” Ron adds.

“I can’t believe you have kids,” Draco says incredulously, referring to me. “And you too,” he says again, now looking at Ron.

”Well that was offensive,” I say with a small laugh.

His face goes slightly red. “No! I didn’t mean it like that!” he panics. “I meant it more like I always hated Ron—sorry about that, mate—up until three years after the war. Back when we were in Hogwarts, I never thought I’d tolerate any of you, let be your friends.”

“And referring to me?” I raise an eyebrow at him.

“I remember the sweet, fragile girl who Bellatrix always treated horribly,” Draco sighs. “I’m sorry about how she treated you-“

”Draco, shut up,” I cut him off. “You’ve apologized for something that was completely out of your control so many times.”
