Sarah’s Point of View
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Jessica!” I greeted my sister as she appeared on my front porch. She was dressed in a pair of dark wash jeans, black vans, and a black t-shirt. Her blue eyes seemed very bright and lively today, something that is a trademark of my sister.
“Hey, Sarah!” she replies, hugging me. “Alright, I need some Gryffindor stuff for today. I just wore black so I’d match whatever I’d borrow from you. I don’t suppose you’d want me to be in my Slytherin clothes today…”
I shake my head with a smile. “Here’s a scarf.” I hand her the scarlet and gold fabric, which she promptly wraps around her neck.
After everything settled down following my wedding, Jessica went to finish up some work she’d picked up down at the Auror office. She’s been traveling a lot, still, but she visits very much. She never did marry anyone, but she’s content with that; she’s waiting for the right person.
I throw my Gryffindor t-shirt over my white tanktop and black jeans, and we Apparate to the gates of Hogwarts. Ron already took the girls over to Ginny and Harry’s place before, as they were having a small pre-game party. I decided to stay back and finish up some housework while I waited for Jess, and then we could go together.
“So, first game of the season?” Jess asks as we head to the Quidditch Pitch.
”Yeah, James is really excited,” I smile.
I see bright red hair not too far off, and realize it’s Fred and George. They wave Jess and I over, and we hug each other hello.
“We’ve been looking for you!” Fred exclaims, throwing his hands up in exasperation.
“And why is this?” I ask, narrowing my eyes at them.
“James wants to say hello,” George grins, taking my hand. Fred takes Jessica’s and they pull us towards the locker rooms, which are crowded with many, many family members.
We see James being surrounded by our family, decked out in his Gryffindor Quidditch robes with his brand new broom clutched in his right hand. He’s chatting up the whole family, but smiles in our direction when he sees us.
”Aunt Sarah! Aunt Jess! Didn’t think you two would show up,” he grins.
”And miss the game? Are you daft?” Jess rolls her eyes with a smile.
“Mumma, James promised that Gryffindor is going to win!” Bella says, hugging James.
“Did he now? I think he’ll have to stay true to that one,” I wink at him.
“We’re only versing Ravenclaw. How hard do you think they are to beat?” James replies confidently.
”I heard that,” Charlotte and Molly, two of the family’s proud Ravenclaws, yell to James, sounding unamused.
“But honestly, it’s an easy win,” James whispers.
“And Gryffindor chaser James Potter gets Gryffindor another ten points!” the announcer cheers, sounding excited.
Like James promised before, it was an easy game. Gryffindor was leading Ravenclaw 150-20. There was no chance Ravenclaw could come back and win.
Unless they caught the Snitch…
But that’s very unlikely.
“And the Lions’ Beater Billy Addams makes an amazing hit! Knocked the opposing Seeker right off his broom!”
