A Maximoff Secret

The fight, part 3

Steve's POV

We all wait anxiously for Y/n, Wanda and Pietro. "Maybe I should go in after them" I say to the group.

"No Steve don't just give it another minute"
Tony says. I look to the building as it falls apart.

Just as I give up all hope and get ready to run in, Wanda and Pietro come running out of the building. But it's just them, Y/n isn't there.

I rush over to Wanda's side and help her stand up. "Wanda where's Y/n?!"

Wanda looks up at me confusingly. "What do you mean? She's right- Pietro where's Y/n?"

Pietro looks behind him, into the building of flames. "She was right behind me!"

I let go of Wanda's arm and look back at the building. "No one gets left behind" I run into the burning building, flames growing each side of me. "Steve no!" I hear behind me as I run further into the building.

"Y/N! Please where are you?!" I shout, as I climb over the fallen metal. I say I only have about five minutes before this place burns to the ground.

"STEVE IM DOWN HERE" Y/n? Yes it's her voice. "STEVE HELP M-!"

"Y/N I'M COMING STAY WHERE YOU ARE"
I run down the stairs on my left but it's covered in fallen steel. Where could she be? I start to move the pieces of steel out of the way when I finally notice her.

I kneel down beside her. "Y/n?" I check her pulse, her heart is still beating. "It's me, it's Steve!" She shows no signs of waking up so I wrap my arms her and lift up her weak body. I carry her out through the flames barely making it through.

"Steve? He has her!" I hear Thor say, as I stumble out of the building.

Nat runs up to my side and looks at Y/n in my arms. "Oh no Y/n..." she says as her eyes fill with tears. "She's alive but we need to get her to a hospital now!"

Pietro comes and stands beside me and holds his hand over Y/n's heart. He falls to the ground beside me and covers his head. "This is all my fault, she's hurt because of me!"

Wanda comes and kneels down beside him and hugs him. "Pietro please not here, she will be okay I promise"

Suddenly Y/n's eyes flicker and her eyes open and look up at me. "S-Steve?"

"Oh my god Y/n" I place her down on the ground and hold her head up with my hand.

"I don't f-feel so good" Her eyes fill with tears and she begins coughing out all the smoke she inhaled.

"Hey look at me" I hold her face in my hands. "Y/n you have to keep your eyes open, you have to stay with me. Look at me you're going to be okay"

"P-please make it stop... it h-hurts too much" She falls limp in my arms and her eyes close, but I can still feel her heart beating.

"WE NEED TO GET HER TO A HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW"
