A Maximoff Secret

Y/n's POV

Okay come on this is your third outfit change Y/n you look good, just go before you change your mind. I grab my purse and head downstairs to the base room.

I come downstairs to see Steve anxiously waiting for me. Is he nervous? What a sweetheart.

"You ready to go Steve?" I say and the second he sees me his face lights up.

With a huge smile across his face he comes up to me and says "You look amazing Y/n, wow"

I give him a playful wink. "I know obviously!" This makes everyone in the room laugh.

"You'll have fun trying to keep her entertained" says Thor.

I grab Steve's arm. "Come on let's go, bye guys!"

"Go have fun you two" Tony says to us and with that we head down the elevator and outside.

"So Steve Rogers, where are you taking me tonight?" I say with a super serious face, I don't know why I act like this sometimes I'm just strange I guess.

"You are so impatient Ms Maximoff, you'll find out soon I promise" Steve playfully says to me.

We walk around New York for awhile taking in the main sights. Steve buys us a hot dog and I'm all for trying local cuisine but god they tasted horrible! We get on a bus to go to some
place called Brooklyn.

Eventually we get off the bus in-front of some big white building. When we walk through, it's like some war museum, I mean yeah sounds like fun I guess?

"A museum?" I ask looking at Steve. "Really Steve?" I can't help but laugh and I see a smile form across his face.

"Hey don't laugh Y/n" he said playfully poking me. "This place is really special to me. Just trust me on this one"

We start walking through a long corridor, filled with pictures of this one man. He's standing saluting us. I look closely and-

"Steve? Is that you?" I ask looking at this familiar person on the wall.

"Took you long enough to notice" Steve said.

"This is a museum about you?.. about Captain America? Is that who you are?" He looks so.. so powerful in all these pictures, a true leader.

"You said you wanted to know more about the Avengers. So I figured I better start with my own story" Steve quietly says, sticking his hands in his pocket out of embarrassment.

Why is he so cute when he does that? I smile and grab his hand out of his pocket. "Come on, show me so"

We spend hours walking around the museum, Steve telling me about his life in Brooklyn, becoming part of the army, the super soldier serum, the war, how he was literally frozen alive and how he was brought into the Avengers.

"Wow Steve this is so amazing-you are so amazing. Thank you for showing me this honestly" I say to him, but I realise he's not even standing beside me... "Steve?" I turn around.

Steve is walking towards a picture of a man in an army suit. I read the name underneath, Bucky Barnes.

"Who's that?" I ask looking at Steve for an answer.

"That's Bucky" Steve says with a sad face. "He's my best friend... HYDRA captured him two years ago and I have no idea where he is"

"Oh Steve I'm so sorry" I say a hug him.

3rd POV

"Steve Rogers and Y/n Maximoff are here" I say into the phone, standing in the far corner so neither of them see me. "I repeat this is Bucky Barnes on comms, Y/n Maximoff is alive"
