Steve & Y/n

Wanda's POV

Nat looked at me like I had two heads or something after I said I thought that Y/n & I are related.

"Wanda come on" she said with a concerned face. "Is that even possible? You heard what Nick said. Y/n has no family"

I could barely get out the next words without tearing up, I know what I felt.

"I haven't felt that type of power since... since Pietro" I looked at the floor trying to not let Nat see the tears in my eyes.

Nat put her hand on my shoulder. "How can we find out for sure?" She asks.

I wipe my eyes with the back of my sleeve and clear my throat. "I have a plan" I look over at Y/n. "But come on we need to go, I can't tell you here"

Y/n's POV

I notice Nat & Wanda leaving the gym. Guess they had enough of me...

"Yeah I'm good" oh shit Steve, I think I asked how he was or something?... "What just happened with Wanda and Nat there?"

Score. I was hoping he'd see oh my god Y/n stop since when do you care what a boy thinks... well Steve is far from a boy oh answer the question!!

"Oh I-I" Y/n use your words... "I just showed them what I'm made of" I smile to try hide my awkwardness.

"So from the looks of that, it seems magic and extreme strength are your 'powers'?" Steve continues setting up his boxing equipment as he speaks.

"Yeah I guess so" I walk around so I'm in Steve's eye view. "How about you Steve Rogers? What are your powers? Or what the heck is the 'Avengers' no one has told me anything..."

Steve faces away from me. "Well the Avengers are probably the most strongest and selfless group of people I know... but me? I'm nothing special , I'm just the laboratory experiment" I can hear the pain in his voice, he must of went through some real shit.

I decide to just go for it, I put my hand on his shoulder and look into his eyes. "Hey it's okay you can talk to me, I understand how you feel I truly do"

Steve holds my gaze for a few seconds and says "Sorry I just have these days where I feel like I'm not enough.. everyone here has these amazing abilities then there's just plain old Steve"

I look down at the ground and look back up to Steve's big blue eyes. "Steve you seem so amazing.. why are you putting yourself down like this? Just whatever part of your brain is saying this to you just tell it to shh"

Steve smiles at me when I say this. "Do you want to go somewhere Y/n?" He asks. "There's a place I would like to show you"

"I'd love that Steve. I'll meet you upstairs in 30 minutes?" I rush off to get ready, is this a date?

Steve's POV

I smile watching Y/n leave. She's so cute...

"You like Y/n don't you?" I didn't even see Thor come in, he definitely overheard my conversation with Y/n.

"What no I've known the girl a day" I say trying to be all tough. "But so what if I did that's none of your business"

Thor can't stop himself from smiling. "You deserve happiness Steve, don't push her away before you even know her"

I know he's right... "I'm just afraid to get hurt Thor... or I'm afraid of hurting her"

"Steve just shut up and go have a good time with Y/n"
