Y/N POV
After failing the performance that decided your future in the industry, you were sent back to Woollim to continue your life as a trainee. Even after all your hard work, like learning a brand new language and polishing up your talents and skills, all your effort was in vain.
You couldn't make it in the debut team of "Golden Child," and only God knew when the next time your company would debut another boy group. The career you worked so hard for had suddenly become further, almost as if it was miles away.
The burning passion for being an idol you once possessed had disappeared, turning into dust. After the members of "Golden Child" were set, you felt as if your many years of hard training had gone to waste... Almost as if it was snapped out of existence... Especially when you remember what the CEO told you during your live performance.
CEO: "The investors think it would be best if you stop pursuing to be an idol for now..." he said, as memories of the dreaded performance flashed through your mind.
Those words echoed through your brain, almost as if that phrase was haunting you. It felt like a curse, always reminding you of your failure at the show. Those words alone, brought the painful memories of you falling and losing your future career because of it.
Ever since that day, you have lost all motivation in trying to become a K-Pop star. You didn't know what to do anymore... The path you walked on for seven years had ended, with no treasure or rewards insight... All there was a brick wall, blocking you from your dreams.
As days passed, you continued to attend your daily rehearsal, but not with as much enthusiasm as before. Even though you worked your hardest to accomplish your dreams, the fruits of your labor never bloomed. Your countless hours of practice had disappeared, and you had nothing accomplished. What was the point of practicing anymore? In your head, the more you train, the more time you waste.
The trainers at Woollim knew about your situation and tried to comfort you about the whole pandemic but to no avail. The CEO even tried his best to lend a helping hand, but nothing could fix your broken mindset.
You knew Woolliment wouldn't be debuting another boy group anytime soon, basically meaning you wouldn't debut in the near future. You would once again have to wait for years before you could achieve your dream...
There was also the fact that the investors of the company saw you as a hindrance due to your injury, making you feel like a liability to the company. Although people tried to encourage you to stay positive, you honestly felt like giving up...
The dream that used to be so close... had become farther than the clouds. Scratch that... Your dreams had become the stars themselves, becoming almost unreachable. Just when you could feel your dreams coming true, it had disappeared in front of your own very eyes, and you couldn't do anything about it...
