Y/N POV
You returned home after having a long day at the studio, making a new song called "Butterfly." For this song, you had planned it to have diverse vocals as well as smooth choreography. You listened to each of the members of LOOΠΔ from their last comeback and were impressed by their vocals. Especially the Chuu girl, her having a strong and clear voice. You heard a lot of articles that these girls were extremely talented and they were all correct. Each of them was amazing, to say the least, and you wanted them to have a great comeback with your song.
As you open the door to your dorm, you can see that Yena was already at your apartment, making dinner for the both of us. Yena has been coming over almost every day after work, wanting to hang out with you. If she couldn't head over to your house then she would text you beforehand, letting you know a couple of hours before. With her coming over every day to eat dinner, it was a sort of tradition now for whoever to arrive at your dorm first, would make dinner for the two of us.
As you walk into the kitchen, you can see the little duckling searing some meat on the stove. The food looked really good in your eyes, Yena definitely regaining her past experience of making food.
Y/N: "Annyeong," you said as you pulled up a chair. As you greeted the girl, you watched as she flinched a bit, probably not knowing that you had come home already.
Yena: "Oh, I didn't realize that you were already home," she said, a little surprised by your sudden appearance, while still focused on cooking.
Y/N: "Do you need any help?" you asked the girl, wondering if she needs any assistance with anything.
Yena: "Sure, can you cut up some vegetables for me, baby?" she said, with you nodding. Although you weren't fond of your nickname, you have gotten used to it after hearing it so many times. As you were helping the little duckling, you couldn't help but notice how comfortable we were with each other.
For example, Yena already refers to your dorm as "home." Although it didn't bother you and it was such a small observation you noticed, it felts as if we were married. Even the fact that we cooked each other dinner and spent so much time together made me feel like we were in a romantic marriage.
You guys were best friends but you feel as of recent, you guys have been getting a lot closer. You two would spend a lot of time after work just hanging out in your dorm, just spending quality time with each other. You really enjoyed her company, but you wonder why she kept on coming to your dorm.
With her new practices she needs to attend as an upcoming K-pop idol, she is probably super busy with all the stuff she needs to do to prepare for her debut. Sometimes when she would be here, she would eat dinner and just pass out on the couch. She must be exhausted and for her to go the extra mile just to spend time at your house seems unlikely. You might as well ask her now since it's on your mind.
Y/N: "Yena, I got a question for you," you said grabbing her attention.
Yena: "Hm?" she said facing you.
Y/N: "Why do you keep coming over to my place?" you asked the duck. You watched as her expression became one filled with confusion, wondering why you would ask that.
Yena: "What are you talking about?" she replied.
Y/N: "I was just wondering because you are probably busy with all your Debut stuff, right? So why do you always come over to hang out?" you explain your curiosity to her.
After a few seconds of letting your question processing in her head, she becomes silent from your question. As the moment begins to get awkward, you wanted to say something to liven up the mood.
Yena: "It's because I want to see you..." she muttered out a bit quietly. You blushed at her response, it being a very romantic one. So she is here because she wanted to see me? Gosh... You could feel your face turn red as you begin to process her answer.
Y/N: "You w-want to see m-me?" you asked her back. You watched as she nodded with you still baffled by her answer. "Y-You know we could just f-facetime, right? You don't have to waste your time coming here," you said, feeling a bit bad for Yena always being here.
You knew she was a really energetic girl, but with her current schedule, she must be super tired. You thought that you were busy, but Yena was probably ten times as busy as you were. If she wanted to see you then she could just facetime you or something. She didn't need to come all the way over here to your dorm.
Yena: "But I like seeing you in person..." she said while slightly shy. "Ya! You see how much effort I'm putting into this! You should be lucky to have me as your best friend," she said as she begins to return to her normal self. You couldn't help but be amazed by how good a friend Yena was for you.
You couldn't help but smile at the energetic girl's sudden burst of energy. But you couldn't deny what she... You were lucky to have her.
