44) Nickname

Yena POV

With your eyes closed, you slowly woke up from hearing the sounds of someone cooking. You could hear the sounds of chopping up vegetables and the sound of meat being seared on a hot pan from the living room. It was a relaxing sound to listen to and a delicious filled air as you begin to wake up from your slumber.

As you took your time opening your eyes, you noticed your surroundings. You were still at Y/N's dorm, and it seems you knocked out while watching the K Drama on his couch last night. You begin to stand up, and you notice there is a blanket covering you from head to toe.

You looked at the blanket and remembered that you weren't sleeping with one originally. As you thought of how a blanket magically appeared over you, your brain finally realized that Y/N probably put one over you. You assumed that he didn't want you to be cold, so he put it on over you, which you thought was such a cute gesture. You couldn't help but smile at the kind man's action, your heart feeling like it was flying.

You stumble on over to the kitchen, and you see Y/N making food. You were slightly surprised that Y/N was making food for you since you would always make the food for both of us.You pull over a chair in the kitchen, making a loud sound, alerting him that you had woken up.

Y/N: "Good Morning, Yena," he said happily while turning around, noticing your presence.

Yena: "Good Morning, Baby," you replied to him. You watched as his smiling face turned filled with disgust as you called him his personal nickname.

Y/N: "..." he stood in silence as looks at you.

Yena: "What?"

Y/N: "Why must you call me that?" he said, slightly offending you. He knows that you call all your best friends baby and you don't understand the problem.

Yena: "Ya! It's because it's your nickname," you replied back, giving him a small scowl."You don't like it? Well, too bad," you said, sticking out your tongue. You watched as Y/N rolled his eyes at your response and reverted his attention back onto the food.

Y/N: "It sounds weird..." he muttered out.

After watching him cook for a few minutes, you then realize something. Y/N doesn't have a nickname for you. You call him baby, but he usually calls you Yena or duck. Gosh, this man's nerves doesn't even have a cute nickname for his best friend. It would be best if you asked him.

Yena: "Yo, Y/N... What my nickname," you said, wanting to know if he had one in mind. You watched as he stayed silent for a few seconds, still cooking our breakfast, and then responded with a stupid answer.

Y/N: "It's Dummy," he responded, showing off a small smirk.

Yena: "Ya! Wanna die or what?" you said while comically flexing your muscles. However, Y/N didn't see since he was still focused on cooking. "Ya! Pay attention to me," you said, giving him a pout. You watched as he turned around and chuckled.

Y/N: "Hehehe. Anyway, food is ready," he said, making your pout turn into a smile. You guys begin to eat the food he made for us both, and you had to compliment him on his cooking skills. You didn't realize that Y/N had such a talent for the culinary arts.

As you ate your food, you guys talked about your upcoming activities. During this small chat, you learned that Y/N would be going to "Blockberry Creative," a subsidiary for "Polaris Entertainment" for a short time, helping create a song for their group LOOΠΔ.

You were actually a trainee at "Polaris Entertainment" before switching over to Yuehua for the rest of your trainee period. That means you knew most of the LOOΠΔ, and you were excited to see what Y/N had in store for them. However, while talking about our activities, Y/N did not mention anything about attending your premiere showcase.

Your premiere showcase would be happening soon, and you wondered if Y/N would come and support your debut. He seemed really busy with his intense schedule, you weren't sure if he could come. Maybe you should just ask him.

Yena: "Hey Y/N, are you coming to my debut concert?" you asked, hoping for a good response.

Y/N: "Hm? When is it?" he said, making you feel a little down.

Man... He really didn't remember about going to your debut showcase. You were a bit sad, but you completely understand. Y/N was a busy man, he can't support you all the time. However, even if you knew this, it still makes your heartache.

Yena: "It's on October 29..." you said sadly. "You can't go, huh? Too busy?' you said, probably figuring out that he already had plans during that day.

As you slowly looked down towards the floor, saddened by what happened, you felt a small chop on the top of your head.

You look up, and you see Y/N smiling at you, giving you a grin with a cute dimple popping out.

Y/N: "Of course I know when the concert is dummy," he said while gently pinching your cheeks. "I already bought my ticket," he said, making you feel over the moon and relieved at the same time.

Yena: "Gosh, I thought you forgot," you said to him, making him chuckle in response.

Y/N: "Hehehe. There is no way that I'm going to miss your special day," he said, making you really happy. You were glad that even though he was busy, he was still going to come to your debut concert. That's your baby alright, always supporting you.
