(Zhong)li X reader (fluff) Lanterns

Finally! Today is the day! You were so excited about this day for a whole month!  You quickly get out of bed and changed to some normal clothes. You wanted to do your commissions as soon as possible, so you will have rest of your day free and you can spend it with your husband/wife. Since the day when Morax changed his form, he didn't changed back. And to be honest? You didn't mind it at all! Actually you really liked it. The best part of the day was always when you run into Childe, who still had zero idea what's going on with you and "Zhongli's sister".

Anyway. You went to the kitchen just to prepare some quick breakfast for your wife. You waited for a moment, before your wife finally decided to get up.

,,Finally awake?" Smile played on your face while you put two bowls on the table. As an answer you just received simple 'hmnh'. She looked so cute when she wakes up. Her hair were messy but it still looked perfect. ,,So, I'll do my commissions and then I'm free.... Do you have some work?" You asked happily. ,, Hnm"  she just nodded at you.

'Wow really talkative today' you thought to yourself but quickly let it be. You won't let anything to ruin this day for you!

You were on your last comission. Nothing really that hard. One adventurer just asked you for ten Qingxin.

They weren't hard to find. You once talked with Qiqi and somehow end up talking about them. She told you were you can usually find them.  So that's it? Are you finally done? Of course you need to head to Katherine just to tell her you did everything she asked for.

As you arrived back to Liyue everything felt like a magic fairy tale. Lanterns were almost everywhere. Everyone was helping with some final decoration and the atmosphere there was just..wow..
You couldn't wait to come here later with you wife. Of course you were little worried about what will other people think but as you said before. You won't let anyone ruin this day.

You were at home waiting for Morax to come back so you can both prepare for tonight.  You were so bored you didn't know what to do. Actually you expected him to come back a lot sooner. You really didn't know what to do so you just grabbed some random book and decided to read for a while.

After what felt like forever you finally head front door open.  You were greeted by your wife with a smile on her face and flowers in hand. ,,Hskjjsh is that for me?" You did even know how to react in this situation. You were so much in love with her and every day felt like you are falling for her more and more. Is that even possible?

You two spend some time talking about tonight and  why she was late, before finally going to prepare for the night. You changed to some more formal but comfortable clothing and so did Morax.

You and Morax arrived to Liyue in time. The dark cape of the night were already covering the city. The light from lanterns and lamps were incredibly beautiful. You took a deep breath before you finally started walking again. The music. You didn't even know from where it come. It was so cheerful!

The kinds were running around and playing with others. Some people were dancing some were just cheering.  Such a beautiful sight. You looked around and still could believe this is reality. Suddenly you felt an arm on your own. You quickly looked at Morax. She just gave you warm smile and you felt like your hear just melt. In this orange-yellow light she looked so beautiful. Her eyes were shining gold like always. And the reflection of the lanterns...gosh..

After few moments you got yourself together and took her hand with a big smile. You continued walking through this amazing streets hand in hand.

,,Zhongli! Look! It's Nadia and Vlad! They are here together!" You were so freaking happy! You couldn't believe it! You were always hoping these two will get together and now when you see it! You almost started to cry how happy you were.
,,Do you want to talk to them?" She asked you. Her voice were so different from his..(Zhongli's in form we know). And you loved it!. ,,I think we should let them have their time..." You said but you were sure as hell you will talk to Nadia about this next time you'll see her.

,,Should we get something to eat?" Morax asked you and grabbed your hand again. You looked at her with stars in eyes. ,,Yeaaah!" Oh my god this is like in dream!.

You spent whole night together. Playing games. Eating. Dancing. Singing. Just enjoying the festival like you should.  You even meet Nadia again and you talked for a while.  If you were worried about someone looking at you and your wife weird before, now you are absolutely not.

Now when it's time for you too let yours lantern explore the world you wrote a small wish on it and Morax did the same. 

You were standing there. Hand in hand. Watching your wishes being carried by the air. Such an amazing and unforgettable moment. You looked at Morax and moved closer to her. She looked at you with a smile.

You were standing there. In the middle of everything but you still felt like there is nothing, just you and her. You were looking in her eyes and she were looking in yours. Noone said anything. Its like the time stopped the music went silent. And everyone just froze at the place. Just you two could feel this moment. 

You didn't even realize that you moved closer until you lips meet hers. The kiss were sweet, full of love. Everyone would say that in didn't took a long until you moved away from each other to bring some space between you so you could breath. But for you. For you it felt like it lasted for hours.  You both smiled and in a hug you continued watching all those lanterns and wishes being carried by the air to the world.

Extra ending:

* Few day after the festival, Morax changed his form back to normal.  We are in Liyue harbor*

Morax and you were just walking around Liyue talking about everything and nothing like you use to do, when you suddenly run into someone you expected to see..sooner or later. 

,,Hey Childe!" You waved his way as he turned around. ,,Hey Y/N..." He didn't seems very happy today. You wonder what happened to him. ,,Did somet-" ,,Zhongli can we have a word?" He didn't even let you finish your question. How rude.  Your boyfriend just looked at you like he need permission to go.

Zhongli went with Childe a few steps away from you so they could have a private conversation. ,,Zhongli...I think....no..I don't think..I know that Y/N is cheating on you.." Childe looked at Zhongli with worry in eyes. Zhongli just stood there froze in place. ,,With you sister.."
