Zhongli x Fatui!reader

Today started like any other day. You wandering around the streets of Liyue and people trying to avoid you as much as possible. You're really tired of this and it makes you sad. You feel lonely most of the time. Just because you're fatui agent, people don't want to talk to you. Not that you like being in the middle of attention but having someone to talk to about random stuffs would be nice.

You were deeply in thoughts when you bumped into someone. ,,Oh god! I'm so sorry sir! I was just thinking about something and I didn't notice you. Please take my apologies!" Your cheeks were red like tomato at this moment.

You expected him to just go away, but the person - tall person if i can say- just cleaned his coat and looked at you. ,,It's okay, I should apologieze too, I wasn't looking where I was going." You just looked at him in shock. Was this really happening? Was this man really talking to you?

,,ehm.." he cleared his throat to get your attention. ,,Are you okay, miss?" Now you wanted to sink deep into the ground. ,,Y-yes, I'm fine! I just wasn't expecting you to talk to me.." you looked at the ground all embarassed.

,,Is it bad thing?" He looked at you confused. ,,N-No! not at all! just..people here don't really talk to fatui." You gave him a nervous smile. ,,I don't see any reason to avoid talking to you. Even thought I don't really know you, you look like a nice person and..." You heard him but didn't understand his words.

,,Oh, my apologies I forgot to intoduce myself." He looked into your eyes. ,,My name is Zhongli and you go by..."

,,Uh-uh! I'm Y/N!" For a moment you almost forgot your own name. ,,It's a pleasure to meet you miss Y/N" ,,It's a pleasure to meet you too." You gave him a warm smile. Both of you stood there in the awkward silence before he started to talk again. ,,Well I need to get some flowers from a shop nearby, would you like to accompany me?"
You were more than happy to agree to that.

Since then you started spending more time together. You got to know he's very found of flowers and history of Liyue. He knew a lot about..uhm..a lot of things. Whenever one of you needed to go somewhere for something, the second one would accompany him. It felt really nice to have someone beside you.

You could talk to him for hours about most random things. And you could listen to him for ages. Even though he didn't got every joke you made it was still fun to be around him. You felt safe and probably for the first time in your life you felt wanted.

Soon you started to realize you catched more and more feelings toward him and things got harder. It was hard just to be around him. Your heart would beat so fast that you almost couldn't take it. You tried to ignore it and act like everything is in normal and it worked?

At least for a while. Soon you had to explain to Childe what is going on. He wouldn't stop bothering you otherwise. He said that "lately you are too happy when you come back and too excited to go out" of course you were. You finally didn't felt alone. You also discovered that Childe know Zhongli for some time now and he decided to help you.

Childe went to find Zhongli to tell him to meet you on the top of mount Aozang. Meanwhile you started to prepare everything.

The sky started to catch darker colors but it was still beautiful. You started to think that he probably didn't wanted to come and a though of it made you sad. You just watched sun going down and one tear escaped your eye. ,,I should expect this...." You muttered and wiped the tear with your hand.

,, Expect what, Y/N?" You were shocked by hearing his deep voice. You quickly turned around just to see him stand there. ,,You came!" You got up as fast as possible and hugged him. That for change surprised him but he quickly relaxed and hugged you too.

,,Of course I did, my dear" how did he called you? Your cheeks were on fire and you could swear that he can feel how fast is your heart beating right now. ,,I'm truly sorry for keeping you waiting but there was a problem on the way...-"

His voice was deep but you focused more on his lips. oh god how much you want to kiss them right now. He looked at you like he could read your mind. No words spoken anymore. Your eyes meet his. He was looking at you with interest. ,,What are you think-" You didn't let him finish the question and kissed him. He was shocked at first but quickly gave in and returned your kiss.

,,I waited so long to do this." You admited a bit shy. He took your face into his hands and closed the gap between you once again.
