Chapter 26

"Um, Neji-kun, we still have mission to do." Tenten coughed.

Neji tensed, before looking back at Fumiko. The girl just nodded her head. "Go, Neji-kun. My ROOT is here, so the kids are going to be fine."

"How about you, Fumiko-sama?" Neji put his hand gently on Fumiko's cheek with his free hand. "Will you be alright?"

"I'll manage." Fumiko smiled at him before poking his forehead. "Go."

Neji reluctantly nodded. He then casted a kiss on his lover's forehead before doing the same thing to the newborn twins. When Neji and his team were no longer there, Fumiko hurriedly moved away from Haruma and vomited. This time, blood was there too.

"Taichou," Sai frowned behind his mask.

"...It's alright. Let's just go back home."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

The two ROOT then walked slowly through the forest. Sai insisted that he would hold the twins, one safely tucked on his back and one on his front. Both teens took precautions on their surroundings, in case a rouge ninja would attack. By the time they got back to Konoha, Tsunade who heard the news ushered Fumiko and the twins to the hospital.

The next day, Tsunade came personally to Fumiko's room and sighed. "Could you stop putting my workers into genjutsu?"

Fumiko raised her eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

"You don't think I wouldn't notice the spike on Sakura's chakra every time she finished the checkup on you?"

Fumiko just shrugged. "How am I supposed to know?"

The older female sent dagger to the younger one. "Are you taking me as a fool?"

"No." Fumiko answered honestly. "However, I don't trust you. You're a Senju, just like Senju Tobirama."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Tsunade growled.

"I thought you're the Hokage, but it turns out you know nothing, huh?"

Fumiko's cold voice made Tsunade gritted her teeth. "Just. Tell. Me."

The younger girl sighed and looked out of the window. "Do you know that Itachi massacred our clan because of the higher ups' order?"

Tsunade froze. "....What are you talking about?"

"It all started with Senju Tobirama isolated Uchiha compound to the corner of the village."

Fumiko's eyes turned crimson as her genjutsu on. Then, Tsunade saw it all.

She saw how Tobirama unfairly treated the Uchiha and isolated them.

She saw how Danzo spread rumors about Uchiha and made villagers hate them.

She saw how hatred started to build up inside the Uchiha.

She saw how they planned a coup de tat.

She saw how Shisui died in front of young Fumiko and Itachi.

She saw how Hiruzen, Danzo, and other two Higherups ordered Itachi to choose between the Uchiha and Konoha.

She saw how Fumiko found out about the massacre.

She saw how Fumiko killed Danzo in front of Hiruzen.

And she saw how Fumiko had been meeting up with Itachi, begging him to come back home.

"And I've got documents as proof." Fumiko said while ending her genjutsu. "Sai!"

The ROOT appeared next to Fumiko with lots of scrolls and handed them to the Senju. She then opened one of the scrolls and read the content. The blonde's honey eyes went wider.

"Fumiko... I..." Tsunade was at loss of words. She knew basically Fumiko blamed Senju Tobirama and her mistrust in the Hokage was to be expected.

They were in a tense silence for some time before Tsunade stood up straight and bowed down to Fumiko. Fumiko's face went blank, but Sai could not help but to be surprised. He knew Tsunade had a massive ego, but then she bowed down to his captain?

"I really am sorry for what the previous hokages had done to you." The Senju then looked up with a determined look. "But I can promise you I'm not like them. I promise you that I'll bring justice to the Uchiha."

Fumiko went silence for a while. "Then, bring my nii-san back home."

"Eh?"

"Itachi's the gentlest person I've ever known. He doesn't deserve this. He's the real head of clan." Fumiko's voice cracked. "We Uchiha siblings only have each other, and with my disease, he's the only hope to the Uchiha."

Tsunade went silent before looking at the twins sleeping soundly in their beddings near Fumiko's bed. "...They're Itachi's kids, aren't they?"

The girl nodded.

"...Thank you for being honest, Fumiko. I'll see what can I do about this situation."

"Just bring back Itachi and punish the elders. That's the least you can do after what we've been through."

Tsunade grimly nodded and walked away. After making sure nobody was near them, Sai raised his eyebrow. "You're manipulating the Hokage."

The girl gave a sinister laughed. "No, I did not. And even if I did, it's her own fault to fall for that. Besides, I've been telling nothing but the truth."
