Itachi's roar deafening every single shinobi out there. It felt like the time was moving in a slow motion. The air was uncharacteristically heavy. His Susanoo was growing rapidly, making an enormous figure shielding him.

Sasuke felt numb. His mind was still not processing what had happened in front of him. His breath hitched as his older brother started to move his muscles, attacking Madara with pure rage.

"Itachi..."

"Ne, Sasuke." A voice beside him shivered. Naruto was standing beside him, his blue eyes were hard with pure determination. "Let's help Itachi-san and avenge Fumiko-san."

A soft hand was making contact with his left shoulder. Sakura was there, looking beaten up yet still stood tall.

"Let's do this." The girl nodded. "As a team."

His rivalry towards Naruto suddenly peaked. If Naruto was willing to do this for Fumiko, why could not him? Giving his comrades a firm nod, the three of them bit their hand and made some hand signs.

"Kuchiyose no jutsu!"

"Ne, ne, Fumiko-chan," the seven years old Fumiko slowly opened her eyes, the sunlight blinded her eyesight for a second.

The girl hummed, noticing she was laying in a field with her arms and legs spreaded apart. Beside her was her older brother, laying on his stomach while caressing her head.

"What do you think of the war?"

The girl shrugged her shoulders, closing her eyes back. She loved how her brother babied her.

"What do you think of our clan, then?" Itachi tried again.

"Nii-san, you're doubting yourself again, aren't you?" Fumiko once again opened her eyes, now focusing on how her brother frowned.

"I just don't think I will be a good leader for our clan." Itachi mumbled, burring his face in his sister's hair, inhaling her baby shampoo smell.

The girl hugged her brother back, face planted on his chest. "But you've got me and Shisui nii-san. There's nothing to worry about."

"But our clan has different views than the village. I don't know if I can be a good leader."

"Why not?"

Ba dump....

"Because, little sister, if it comes to either you or the village, I would always choose you and Sasuke over the village... over everyone else."

Ba dump....

"But nii-san,"

Ba dump....

"Hm?"

Ba dump....

Ba dump....

"...tachi "

Ba dump....!
Ba dump....!!

"...Itachi, wake up!!!"

BA DUMP!!!!

Itachi fluttered his eyes open, face to face directly with Tsunade. The older woman sighed, "Finally, you're awake."

"W-what happened?" He croaked, feeling dizzy.

"You fought with Madara nonstop." Tsunade scolded. "You promised your sister yet here you are almost die from chakra draining!"

At the mention of his sister, the memories of previous event slammed him like a wave. His eyes widened as he frantically looked around.

"Fu-Fumiko, where's she?!"

Tsunade shared a look with one of her ANBU, before her ANBU leaving. The Hokage was still infusing her chakra into Itachi, pinning the man down.

"Right now, you need to focus on your recovery. Your brother and Naruto are still fighting Kaguya at this very moment."

"Ka...guya?"

Noticing that Itachi was out before Madara was sealed, Tsunade narrated how the trio Naruto-Sasuke-Sakuro fought and sealed Madara away. It turned out that the Akatsuki was actually under the influence to wake Kaguya up. Now, Sasuke and Naruto were in a mission to defeat Kaguya while the others could only hopelessly wait.

"Tsunade-sama." The ANBU came back, holding a body that the older Uchiha knew well.

Itachi forced himself to sit up despite Tsunade's protest. He yanked the body from the ANBU and craddled it like he would a baby. His whole body was shaking as he gently swept his sister's hair away from her face.

A drop of tear fell upon the girl's face. And then another. And another. Until Itachi's sobs turned into wailing a river.

"Fumiko! Fumiko!" He cried his heart out. "Come back to me, please! ...come back to nii-san!"

Everyone else near them could feel their eyes moistened up just by looking at Itachi. It was not fair how Fumiko was dead after everything she went through. She deserved more than this. She deserved better.

"Hokage-sana, it's over." Nara Shikaku came toward Tsunade, though his eyes glued to the Uchiha siblings. "Kaguya was defeated. We win."

It was supposedly a happy moment where everyone celebrated their win over the ninja war, but a tug in Tsunade's heart felt way heavier than it was supposed to.

The Hokage helped Itachi stood up, while he was still craddling his sister on his chest, his eyes were hidden behind the curtain of his hair. Tsunade casted him a worried glance, before looking at the shinobi all around her.

"Listen up!" Tsunade opened her mouth, "With this, I announce the shinobi war has ended!"

Cheers were now heard. Everyone celebrated ny hugging their friends and cried their emotion out. A smile that tugged on Tsunade's face dissapear when Itachi took step by step walking away.

Everyone who he had passed stopped celebrating as they made way for the now Uchiha head clan. Itachi stopped in midway when 2 ROOT kneeled in front of him.

"Fumiko-sama," one ROOT whispered.

"She's dead." Itachi whispered, looking down at the ROOT with dead eyes. "My sister's dead."

The other ROOT nodded, acknowledging that Tsunade was now standing next to Itachi before saying, "The ROOT had protected the villages as Fumiko-sama instructed and killed most of the white Zetsu. We held Kabuto captive too after the Uchihas defeated him."

Tsunade was surprised, but nodded her head. "Thank you."

"We would also like to discuss the future of ROOT as Fumiko-sama instructed now that she's gone."

Itachi's grip on his sister tightened, making Tsunade hurriedly said, "Can we do it later in my office?"

"Of course."

The ROOT flickered away, letting Itachi continued walking. After some time, he finally stopped before a sobbing Hinata and a body near her. The lavender haired girl looked up, surprised to see Itachi, but then continued to cry harder as she saw the body in his embrace.

Slowly, Itachi put Fumiko down beside her lover's body. Both of them were dead, looking beaten up and messy, but somehow there was no trace of their usually serious expression on their face. Instead, the lovers looked like they finally found some peace.
