Y/N's P.O.V
It is now the next morning and the reason I can tell it's the next morning is because I can hear the demon servants around me moving about and shuffling up the stairs leading out of the servant's quarters. I hadn't forgotten what Davis had said about not being late to meet and I wasn't going to disappoint. So, I sit up, but then frown when I see that a majority of the other servants are still in bed. They've been here longer than me, which isn't hard to figure, so they should know the supposed daily routine better than me. Ah, well, not my problem. If they're messing up by doing this, I'm not going to stick around and watch it happen.
Taking a hold of the suit that was laid out on my bed yesterday, I look around the room for a bathroom or closet of some kind, because I'm sure as shit not going to change in front of these guys. As luck would have it, though, there is a bathroom, located on the opposite end of the room just a little farther down from where my bed is. Walking as quietly as possible, I make it to the bathroom door, open it, slip inside, and close it behind me. Just like the rest of the servant quarters, the bathroom is more on the plain side with minimal luxuries accounted for. It looks more like the locker room from my old high school, only not as big. Just some tiled floor with a row of sinks with mirrors on the right side wall and about one row of showers crammed together on the far left wall along with some stalls for toilets. I'll work with what I have, though.
Going to stand in front of one of the sinks with a mirror, I pause and look at my reflection. Huh. So despite my clothes staying pretty much the same, my hair, eyes, and skin didn't. I now have H/C hair, E/C eyes, and S/C skin. I'm not really against this new look, but I'd also be fine with not seeing myself in a mirror again unless for necessary reasons. Putting that aside, I quickly drop my clothes and slip into the new ones. Like I thought yesterday, the new fittings are a bit big for me, but they're not too big as to where it'll look baggy on me. One thing I do like about them, however, is that the suit jacket, dress pants, and shoes are mostly black with some touches of red to it, like the tie for example, which I'm currently tying in a four in hand style. My father had taught me a couple of different methods as practice for job interviews, but I....didn't get the chance to, ultimately.
I soon finish, choosing to leave my hair as it is since I don't think it's all that messy, and exit the bathroom. The demons are still asleep, which is still odd, but I tread past them and tiptoe my way up the stairs. After heading through the door at the top, I look for Davis and find him standing near the bottom of the stairs that head to the mansion's second floor. He doesn't see me at first, apparently having zoned out while smoking a cigarette, so I walk closer to him, my shoes against the hard floor making the necessary noise for him to turn his head in my direction. And when he sees me, I swear I see a hint of a smile on his face.
"I must say that I had my doubts about you, Y/N. But I'm glad that you proved me wrong. Nearly every other new servant that's been brought in over the years has disappointed me on their first day. I think this change of pace is for the better" Davis commends me, making me feel good about myself.
"Thank you" I say to the demon, clasping my hands, "So what's first?".
"Well, I believe we should start right here on this floor, seeing as we're already on it" Davis points out, taking another drag from his cigarette before using it to point down the right hallway, "We'll start there. Follow me and ask questions if you need to. After all, this is your job and you're expected to do well at it".
"Have there been demons that haven't performed well?" I soon ask him, Davis taking the lead down the hallway.
"Yes, there have. And depending on the severity of their actions, including causing trouble, they've been either kicked out of the mansion and forced to live in the slums of Pentagram City or have just been killed on the spot" Davis says grimly, "The latter has been more common over time. There's also been rare occasions when King Lucifer himself has dealt out the punishments, though those were on days when he was in a particularly bad mood".
