Anthony's P.O.V

Y/N teleports us just outside the studio, the surrounding streets being dark and empty. But that feeling is still retained when glancing inside the building itself, it looking completely abandoned. My best friends then push open the doors, which Val must've had rebuilt since my gal pal last told me that she drove a van into them, and I follow them in. Upon seeing the numerous tables and stage with the dancing pole, bad memories surface in my head, causing some fear to work its way into my heart and make it beat faster. Despite the fact that all the lights are off, nobody's in here, and it's a bit of a mess, it reminds me too much of what my life was like not even a year ago.

I then feel a hand on my arm and look to see Y/N with a reassuring look on his face, as if he's trying to tell me that everything's fine. I appreciate it and give him a small smile in return. Cherri then directs us toward the elevator, not wanting to linger here any longer than any of us have to. And after she presses the up button and we walk in after the doors open, it goes to show that only the lights have been turned off, but the power is still on. None of us say a word as we're taken up to the top floor, but I bet those two are saving everything they want to save for Val. Very soon, the elevator stops and opens back up, the three of us walking up to the doors leading to his office while also noticing how his secretary has long since vanished. Y/N, Cherri, and I then share a look and nod before gazing back at the doors in front of us and pushing them inward.

Just like downstairs, his office is dark and a total mess, so much so that I wonder if what happened was a mix of a temper tantrum and a mental breakdown. Broken glass on the floor, trash and empty bottles just lying around on the counter tops, but fortunately, there's no dead workers or drugged out ones lying around on the upturned furniture either. The three of us split up and walk around the space, glancing at pretty much everything to see if there's something that stands out, but ultimately find nothing. That leaves us with Val himself, the prick lying face-first on his desk with his hat on the floor and a spilled bottle of alcohol next to him. He's clearly at rock bottom, but it is what he deserves. I hang back a bit as Cherri and Y/N approach him, my gal pal grabbing the alcohol bottle and smashing it on his head.

"Wake up!" She snaps, Val groaning and slowly sitting up as his hand goes to the spot on his head where he was just hit.

"Huh?" The defeated overlord groans, his eyes slowly adjusting before widening in surprise, "You three!"

"Hey, Val. Long time, no see" I say nonchalantly.

He goes to stand up and lunge at me, but Y/N and Cherri pin him down in his seat, keeping him from going anywhere.

"Come to finish the job?" Valentino seethes, glaring at each of us in turn.

"In a way, yeah" I shrug, gesturing to my two best friends, "But they'll be ones who will do you in. Me, not so much."

"So you think you're above that now, huh? After everyone you killed just to get here?!" My ex boss snaps angrily.

"I know what I did and I've accepted it" I state with confidence, "But I've also worked to be a better person than I was before. Believe it or not, Val, change is possible if you actually care about trying."

"I don't fucking care, you little shit!" Val growls, struggling a bit against Y/N and Cherri's tight grip, "You and your friends here destroyed everything for me! My business, my reputation, my friends, and the life I slaved away for ages to create! You're dead a million times over to me and that's still barely scratching the surface of my fury! I'm going to kill you, find you when you reincarnate, and then kill you again and again until you understand just exactly what it feels like!!"

"Oh, save it, would you?" I roll my eyes and shake my head, "None of this would've happened if you simply would've treated all of us better. Me, Summer, Dia, and everyone who either chose or forced to work for you. You mistreated us, abused us, demanded so much out of us that we wanted to die. We all hated you for that and didn't want anything to do with you, so you can't blame a single one of us for taking the chance to escape and retaliate when we had the chance. Karma or not, people do hold grudges and not everyone can just have their silence bought. That's why we're here, you and us in this moment, since it proves exactly my point. We were the ones that were simply going to sit there and take it like obedient pups."
