"𝐘/𝐧?"

The girl recognized this voice and instantly smiled, picking herself up.

"Hi Eret!" She greeted, her eyes meeting a pair of shades.

Remembering the circumstances, her smile faltered and she stiffened.

"Hello Y/n." Eret spoke, no hostility evident in their voice.

She bit back a sigh of relief, still unsure of his reaction.

"So, have you heard the news?" The y/e/c eyed girl asked awkwardly.

"I have, actually." The brunet replied. "Since you're here, I want to let you know that those rumors are absolute bullshit."

"Yeah, I know. Oh, and before you continue, one part of the rumor is true. I did meet Ghost- I mean Wilbur's ghost." She added, before he can continue. (To avoid confusion, I'll be referring to Eret as he/they even though he uses all pronouns.)

"You met Wilbur's ghost?" Eret repeated, their eyes widened in astonishment.

"Yeah, but he's really nice don't worry. And he doesn't plan on haunting L'manberg anytime soon. Oh, and he doesn't remember much either." Y/n rushed through the explanation, afraid her friend would call her out anytime soon.

He blinked a few times, seemingly shocked. They recovered pretty quickly though, which is fortunate. He's probably used to all the chaotic events that's happened so it isn't a huge surprise someone was resurrected.

"Are you gonna snitch where I am?" She questioned, hoping they would not.

Eret furrowed his eyebrows before shaking his head. "No, of course not. Though a lot of people will. Tubbo did his speech, but most people won't believe him. You know how some villagers are. They don't believe he has the rights to become a president, which is completely assured. You,Tommy, and Wilbur's ghost are currently wanted in L'manberg." They finished.

The girl's heart sunk. How could she be wanted in a nation she served for? Worst, how could a 16 year old who did more then any more of their lazy asses have. And even a ghost who they haven't even met! This whole thing is ludicrous.

"I'm sorry." Eret apologized, putting a sympathetic hand on her shoulder. "It's insane, I know."

"It's not your fault." She said, her good mood now down the drain. "I just can't believe they'd believe a random citizen over their president."

"I understand. What were you doing so close to L'manberg anyways? I know its your home, but I wouldn't take the risk." They asked.

Y/n hesitated a bit, quickly reviewing all the options she had. It did take her a while to trust Eret again, and he did work hard for it. And they wouldn't be stupid enough to betray her again, right?

"You want the truth?" She pressed, leaning away from her negative thoughts.

"If that's alright, then yes."

Taking a deep breath and inhaling the sweet earthy scents, she blurted out.
