ok, first of all, thank you guys so much for 200 reads! <3 happy valentine's day!
You anxiously tapped your foot as you waited for the teacher to hand back your test. You could feel Tsukishima's eyes on you, and you prayed to whatever supernatural higher power there may be that you scored higher than him on this test, for several reasons. One, you found the prospect of him attempting to be sweet with you absolutely hilarious. Two, you didn't think he'd ever let you live it down if he beat you. Three, you didn't want to face the humiliation of having to cater to Tsukishima's every need. And four, if you constantly followed him around because you were his personal servant, you shuddered to think of how the many girls who liked him would treat you. Granted, they would probably treat you that way if he was being extremely nice to you as well. Some of them had already taken stock of the fact that you two hung around with each other and tried to befriend both you and Yamaguchi so that they could get closer to him. You didn't appreciate them in the slightest and you agreed with Yamaguchi that it was the worst feeling ever when you thought someone wanted to have a chat with you but was instead just trying to get closer to Tsukishima. The man in question, of course, barely paid these girls any attention, but that wasn't enough to stop them from chasing him.
This particular teacher had a habit of handing back tests in order of highest grade to lowest. Normally, you hated this habit as it publicly shamed whoever got the lowest grade. But now you cherished it because it was an easy way of telling which one of you won the bet.
The teacher finally began to hand back the first test. As you shivered in anticipation, he walked closer and closer to your desk and then at last gingerly places it on your desk. You balled up your first in triumph. Yes! You had scored highest in the class, which was something to be proud of in and of itself but there was an added bliss of knowing that you had certainly beat Tsukishima. You turned over the piece of paper to see how you did. It was almost a perfect score, although you did get one problem wrong. Oh well. You still got highest in the class and won the bet! As the teacher made his way over to Tsukishima's desk next, you shot him a toothy grin. You stifled a laugh thinking of how frustrated he must have been that he was so close to beating you but didn't.
After he was done handing back tests, the teacher dismissed class for lunch and you made your way over to Tsukishima's desk to gloat.
"Congratulations, F/n!" said Yamaguchi, giving you a thumbs-up. Tsukishima glared at him.
"Thanks, Tadashi," you replied sweetly. "So sorry, Tsukki. It looks like you'll be treating me with nothing but kindness for the next week. But you were close to beating me!" You shoved your paper with the big fat "99%" written on top of it in his face.
"I never said you could call me that." is all he said until he notices your paper says 99%. His eyes momentarily widened in surprise, but then his face switched over into that smirk you'd grown to hate so much.
"Woah. I don't like that look on his face," you stage whispered to Yamaguchi. Tsukishima just handed you his test, and to your utter chagrin, there was an equally big 99% written at the top.
A tie? How...? How on Earth was your luck always this bad? Were you stuck in some sort of fanfiction? You groaned when you saw his result. But then why did the teacher hand back your test first? It must have been because your desk was closer to the front of the room.
"So, uh...if it's a tie, who won the bet?" you asked.
"Nobody. Let's just call it off," replied Tsukishima apathetically.
"What do you think, Tadashi?" you looked over at the freckled boy expectantly.
"Well, I know you guys were both excited to win..." - After hearing the word "both" Tsukishima shot another glare at Yamaguchi for revealing that - "and you both did well on the test, so I'd say you both won."
"We both won? But then who has to carry out the other's terms?" you asked.
"You both do. You become Tsukki's servant for a week, and then another week he's nice to you. You can rock-paper-scissors for who gets to go first."
Huh. On the one hand, you would have to be Tsukishima's servant for a week. On the other hand, for a whole blissful week you would be free of the constant bickering and his teasing. You mulled it over in your head for a minute while Tsukishima was doing the same and it seemed that you both decided that the benefits of that ordeal outweighed the detriments, because you both said "Fine." at the same time.
"I want to save the best thing for last, so I want to be Tsukishima's servant first, if that's ok," you spoke up.
Yamaguchi looked over at Tsukishima for his approval. Tsukishima responded with a nod. "Ok," said Yamaguchi, "then your week starts now!"
"Welcome to the worst week of my life," you grumbled to yourself. The tall, bespectacled blond heard you and simply responded with a smirk.
