guys i can't tell you how thankful i am for 400 and 500 reads ;D you guys are amazing

The week continued on the same way it had the first day, but you soon noticed that every chore you had to do for Tsukishima had a silver lining. You would start your morning off by showing up to Tsukishima's house to carry his things (the silver lining was that you got to walk with him and Yamaguchi to school instead of by yourself, albeit a little bit early for your liking on the days they had morning practice). On days where he had morning practice, the silver lining of showing up to school much earlier than you would've liked was that you you got to hang out with Shōyō. It was always fun to see him play. You also enjoyed getting fawned over by Tanaka and Nishinoya, which did wonders for your ego. Your chores also included, but were not limited to: looking over his homework (you reveled in the ability to tell him when he got something wrong, plus it helped you to realize your own mistakes), bringing him his lunch from the school cafeteria (you would take a few bites of it whenever he got something you liked), and buying him snacks from the corner store (you would grab some for yourself while you were there.) You made sure to complete every task perfectly, to do every job exactly the way he wanted you to, so you could avoid any snide remarks from him. You made sure to keep that sickeningly sweet smile on your face every time you completed a task, knowing it annoyed him to no end.

The one downside to this ordeal - everyone else seemed to think you were some lovesick girl who fawned over and doted on Tsukishima. You could see how they thought that, but by doing all these acts of service towards him you had ruined your chances with some cute boys in your class that had caught your eye and also ruined your chances at friendship with many of the girls who liked him, since they now had a distaste for you because you "stole their man." Either Tsukishima did not know about the rumors surrounding the nature of your relationship or did not care enough to silence them because he hadn't lowered the amount of things you had to do for him. If he did know about the rumors, he might even have welcomed them since you repelled the many girls who seemed to want his attention. If being thought to have been romantically involved with - shudder - you was the hefty price he had to pay for making those girls leave, then so be it.

Today was the final day of your servitude to him, and the day couldn't end quickly enough. You were so ready for the week to meet its glorious end, but Tsukishima was not going to let you go home early as a reward for your efforts.

It had been an exhausting day. As you sat on the sidelines of the volleyball court, you had to fight to keep your droopy eyelids open. You let out a yawn, thinking that a nap sounded really good right about now.

"Tired?" the team's gorgeous third-year manager, Shimizu, took a seat next to you, giving you a small but kind smile.

Your face felt a little hot after attracting the attention of such a beautiful girl, but you answered, "Yeah. I just wish I could go home now."

"Why don't you?" she raised an eyebrow. Many of the team members were curious as to why you had been coming to watch their practice for the past week. At first, they thought you might have been Tsukishima's girlfriend, but you were only on last name basis, and he treated you only slightly better than he treated the other first years on the team, so that possibility was ruled out. You and Yamaguchi seemed close and you were on first name basis, so their current theory was that you and him were romantically involved, but it didn't explain why you took care of everything Tsukishima asked you to, or why Tsukishima asked you to do so many things for him.

"I have to carry Tsukishima's stuff home for him, and I'd rather not leave school and come back here just to walk home with him," you explained.

"And why do you have to carry his stuff for him?"
