Had you ever seen Tsukishima treat you this nicely? The answer was an emphatic no. In fact, you were thoroughly convinced that he had a distaste for you. Maybe he still did and was just a really good actor. You didn't quite care very much for the reason he was treating you so nicely, you were just happy and also pretty amused at the way he was acting. Even Yamaguchi would burst out laughing at some of the gestures he did for you. The first time Tsukishima had held the door open for you with that creepy-looking pseudo-grimace pseudo-smile on his face it had left not just you and your best friend, but most of class 1-4 in fits of uncontrollable laughter. Nobody had ever seen Tsukishima act like this.

Today was the third day of your glorious week full of Tsukishima treating you with nothing but not-so-pure kindness. You were just about to join your two friends for lunch when you felt two fingers that were far too delicate to belong to either of your friends tap your shoulder. You turned around to face the person.

It was a girl named Kojima Ichika. You didn't know her too well, but she seemed pretty nice. She was a popular object of the guys in your class's affections, and you didn't blame them. With her porcelain smooth skin, her shiny black hair that was always put up into two cute pigtails, and her petite figure, you had to admit she was adorable. What did she want with you? You were friendly with most of the girls in the class, but none of them ever really tried to talk to you unless they needed help with their homework or they wanted to talk to Tsukishima. You didn't blame them, it wasn't like you had attempted to be close friends with them either. Plus, due to your recent ordeal with one of the most attractive boys in your year some of them had grown to dislike you out of jealousy.

"Hey, Kojima," you said to her, giving her a slight wave, "What's up? Did you need something?"

She smiled. "Eat lunch with me today?" she phrased it like a question, but who were you to refuse an invitation from one of the most popular girls in your class? She seemed nice, plus you admitted that although you loved Yamaguchi and didn't totally hate Tsukishima, it would be nice to hang out with your gender more often.

You told her that you would love to eat lunch with her, so you found yourself sitting with her at her desk. You were still confused as to why she wanted to eat with you, and you had a sinking feeling that she just wanted to know about your bespectacled friend, but her smile was so bright and she sounded so enthusiastic that you found yourself agreeing before you could think too much about it.

Across the room, Tsukishima had just sat down at your usual table, noticing that the seat that Yamaguchi had so kindly pulled up for you was empty for today. "Where's l/n?" he asked his best friend.

"No idea," replied Yamaguchi. The two scanned the room for you and looked at each other with confused faces when they saw you were hanging out with the class's resident queen bee.

"Since when is she friends with Pigtails?" wondered Tsukishima.

Yamaguchi snickered at the nickname. "I don't know. I've barely ever seen them talk before."

"I'm surprised a popular girl has even taken a liking to her. She doesn't seem like the type to be in their group, as so much of what she says and does is so unladylike and unfeminine." Yamaguchi looked at his friend, bewildered, not so much at his statement but at the fact that he even cared that you were missing. He was right that you weren't the most traditionally ladylike person, but why did Tsukishima even care? Didn't he dislike you?

"It is weird that they're suddenly friends..." began Yamaguchi, "but, uh, why do you ask? I thought you always talking about how her presence was annoying and how having a girl around was 'weird.' Shouldn't you be happy that you get a break from her?"

Yamaguchi wasn't a big fan of Tsukishima's attitude towards you, and he didn't want to encourage it at all, but he knew that such behavior was uncharacteristic of him.
