"I'm sorry about Aisha." Robby told Sam and I.
"She can be friends with whoever she wants." Sam relied coldly. I picked up my tee shirt and threw it over my head.
"Hey, have any of you guys seen my wallet?" Amanda asked digging through her purse.
"Wait, your missing your wallet?" Robby asked curiously. I slipped my phone into my back pocket, looking at Robby and Amanda.
"It's probably around here somewhere, just look around." She motioned to the area around her. "I'm sure it'll turn up."
"I'll go check the beach, maybe someone turned it in to the lifeguard." He left before anyone could say anything. Sam looked at me knowingly.
"What's the coincidence?" I asked, rubbing my hand against my temple.
"Come on." Sam grabbed my hand and pulled me off towards Aisha and her new friend.
We reached the two girls. "Hey!" Sam called out to them, causing them to turn around and face us. "My mom's missing her wallet." Sam told them.
"Sucks for her." Tory responded, I could tell they were a bit tipsy.
"You wouldn't know anything about that?" Sam said accusingly.
I raised my eyebrows at Tory while her smile slowly dropped off of her face. "Wait what are you saying?" Aisha put the puzzle pieces together.
"Give us the wallet, and I won't tell security." Sam said sternly. I leaned onto my one foot, crossing my arms.
"Are you freaking kidding me?" Tory asked in disbelief.
"Sam! She didn't steal your mom's wallet." Aisha defended.
"Right, and she didn't steal a bottle of vodka. And she wouldn't steal half the silverware." I added, trying to get Aisha onto our side. I mean, we get along, and then this girl who insults Sam and I takes her away.
"Listen, I didn't rob your mom biatch." Tory got in my face. "you know what, let's get out of here." Tory turned to walk away with Aisha. I leaned up against the buffet table in disappointment. When all of the sudden Sam went to go grab Tory's bag. "Get off of me!" Tory yelled at her, pushing her backwards, which was unfortunately right into me. Her body collided with mine, sending me down onto the picnic table, causing it to collapse underneath me. The food spluttered all over me, covering me in fudge an other assortments of food. I looked myself up and down while I was on the ground, hearing everybody around me gasp. I tried to get up but my back was in so much pain, I couldn't. So instead, I sighed. I looked u to see Sam staring at Tory and Aisha in shock. Tory turned and walked away from the scene.
"Are you okay?" Aisha asked me.
"Are you serious? No I'm not okay. Some friend you are." I remark angerly, trying to get up again. Sam realized my struggle and threw one of my arms around her shoulder for support, helping me up.
"Real nice friend you've made." Sam retorted. I reached my one hand up and picked a piece of fudge out of my hair and throwing it on the ground.
"You shouldn't have accused her of something like that." Aisha said before walking off.
"You okay?" Sam said, turning her head to me.
"I'll have a bad bruise on my back, but other than that, I'm fine." I shrug, brushing more fudge off of my clothes.
"Come on, let's g find Robby and mom." Sam said, leading me away towards where we left Amanda.
"This fudge is kind of good." I told her, wiping a small bit of fudge off my face and placing my finger in my mouth, tasting the chocolate.
After I had taken a shower at Sam's, she lent me some clothes, a white t-shirt and grey lululemon shorts with triangle patterns. I fishtail braided my wet hair off to the side so it was out of my face.
Then Danial took us to the dojo. I sat beside Sam, who was inspecting my back. Apparently I had multiple bruises along my lower back. Sam suddenly dropped my shirt when Robby walked into the backyard of Miyagi-Do. But then he went into the dojo where Mr. LaRusso was meditating. I turned towards Sam. "Does it look that bad?" I asked in a worried tone.
"No, it's just." She paused, her facing telling me the exact opposite of what she said. "Well, okay maybe." She smiled at me.
"You suck." I said punching her arm playfully. Robby and Danial walked out of the dojo, engaged in a conversation. I leaned my head on Sam's shoulder, tired from today.
"Those who need us, find us." Mr. LaRusso said to all of us.
"Excuse me?" Someone said from the front. I recognized that voice. "It was unclear if the gate was the front door, if I was supposed to ring the doorbell." Demetri said, walking towards us.
"Demetri?" I asked shocked.
"Hi Lydia. Woah, is that a koi pond?" He became distracted. "How much does that cost to maintain that?" He questioned.
I internally laughed at his ability to change the topic. "May I help you?" Danial said to the boy in front of him.
"Yeah, I wanna, uh, learn karate." He said somberly.
"You have come to the right place." Danial replied full of joy. Robby turned to look at Sam and I who were both smiling towards him. Demetri started to smile and Mr. LaRusso placed a hand on Robby's shoulder.
I got up from my place and ran towards Demetri. I wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him a welcome hug. I pulled back. "What happened to your nose?" I asked once I saw the band aid on his nose.
