"Chris.... Chris.... Chris," was what I heard as I woke up to someone shaking my shoulders.

I opened my eyes to see that it was India. She looked worried.

"India," I said sitting up.

"What the hell was that?" Grunted Kev.

"I don't know," panted Troy as he held his head.

"I was out with a friend when momma texted me to come check on you," India said.

"What you mean momma called you?" I asked her.

"Daddy was trippin too, so they told me to come check in you cause you weren't answering your phone," she said getting up from the floor.

"So all the vampires were attacked," I said grunting as I got up from floor.

"I'm guessing," India said.

I grabbed my phone to see I had a few missed calls from my mama which I expected, but what surprised me was the multiple missed phone calls and text messages from Vadah. She was asking if I was okay.

"This can only be caused by the witches," India said as I texted Vadah back.

"This ain't nobody but the witches," Troy said.

"I think it's time we go pay them a visit," Kev said. "And I know just who to go to."

I told India to go home, and we went to this one witch's place that Kev used to fuck. We got out and walked to the front door, and knocked.

"What the hell you want?" She said when she made eye contact with Kev.

"Man cut the attitude out," he said.

"Or what Kevin?" She said as me and Troy looked each other and shook our heads.

We both took a few steps back, so they could have some privacy.

"You acting brand new cause you want saying that last night," he said as he stepped in the house.

"Fuck is you doing?" Was the last thing we heard before Kev shut the door.

"We ain't got time for this," Troy said as you could hear light moans come from the house.

I looked around and saw a couple of people out on their front porch watching us.

"Y'all must wanna suck my dick," I said as they looked away. Troy laughed.

After a few minutes, when we was waiting in the car, Kev came out holding a piece of paper.

"Look at this," he said getting un the car and handing me the paper.

It had the vampire and hybrid symbol from my paw paw's journal on it.

"Look at that," he said again.

"Yeah?" I asked confused.

"Who all knows about the symbol?" Kev asked.

"Me, you, Troy, Egypt, and Vadah," I said still confused.

"The way for the witches to know about those symbols is from us. Me and Troy just found put this morning. Eygpt doesn't even fuck with the witches like that, but Vadah..." he said.

"But Vadah what? Cause Vadah wouldn't do this."

"You don't know ole girl like that. She the only person I see communicating with the witches frequently."

"She's a fucking witch. Who else is supposed to hang out with?" I asked as they both looked at me.

"Why aren't you seeing it? She is the problem," he said.
