"Happy birthday India," I said hugging her.
"Thanks Chris," she said hugging me back.
"You ready?" I asked as we pulled away from the hug.
"Yeah just let me get my jacket," she said running back to her room.
"Where y'all going?" Pops asked me looking up from the tv. Him and my my mom was on the couch watching tv.
"I'm taking India shopping for her birthday," I said noticing that they were watching law and order svu.
"Oh," he said looking back at the tv.
"Don't be out too late. We gotta cut the cake later," my mom said as India walked back in.
"Alright," I said as we walked out.
"We're gonna go in the mall, and we're not gonna spend a whole day in there," I said starting to drive.
"Chris can we get there first?" She said sighing.
"I'm just saying. You know how you get when we go shopping," I said glancing at her.
...
"You think I should get this?" India asked holding a shirt up to her chest.
"I don't know India," I said irritated. We have been here for three hours already and all she has gotten is a two pairs of shoes and a dress.
"Or do you think I should get this one," she said holding another shirt up to her chest.
"India, you keep asking me these questions like you want my opinion," I said.
"Oh shut up...I'm about to go try these clothes on, so you can go sit down somewhere," she said grabbing some outfits and heading to the dressing rooms. I huffed as I sat down.
