Harry's POV
A few days have passed since Draco and I became friends. Things have been going pretty smoothly. I have no idea what Ron was talking about when he said that Draco is git. Sure, he has his moments, but really, who doesn't?
Ever since I met Draco I've had this weird fuzzy feeling in my chest, it's like my body knows who he is though my mind does not. Something tells me that the Harry with memories doesn't hate Draco as much as I try to convey.
Draco and Hermione have both started making the memory potion, but it will take a week before it is completed. Surprisingly, Draco was able to convince Snape to have some of his potion ingredients that he has stored away. What's more surprising is that Snape didn't question him about what it is for.
I guess being Snape's favorite has its perks.
"Mr. Potter." A voice called.
"Uh yes?" I asked Professor Mcgonagall.
"I asked you a question, Mr. Potter. It's good to know you are paying attention to your lessons." Some of the kids in the class snickered.
"Sorry professor." I replied.
"Yes well, do pay attention. This will be on your test next week." I nodded my head in understanding.
I felt a light jab to my side and I looked over to see Ron staring at me.
"You okay, mate? You've been lost in your head a lot recently." He asked me out of concern, even Hermione turned to make sure I was okay.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Just been thinking a lot recently is all." I replied.
"About what?"
I didn't really know how to respond, let alone tell Ron that Draco Malfoy has been occupying my thoughts more than I want to admit, especially since Ron hates him so much.
"You know, Voldemort, school, the normal stuff." I said to them both, hoping to throw them off of my trail.
Ron nodded his head, seemingly convinced by my charade and went back to listening to the professor. Hermione's eyes narrowed, obviously not convinced at all.
Classes went on per usual, minus my mind continuing to wander to a certain platinum blonde.
I raced out of my final class for the day before Ron or Hermione could really stop me. Where I'm going, I promised not to tell.
A few hallways down I found the door to an old abandoned classroom. I looked around me quickly, making sure I wasn't followed before stepping into the room. Draco stood leaned against a desk, looking out of a dusty and dirty window.
"Hey." I chimed out of breath.
"Hey, just on time." Draco smiled at me lightly while walking over to me. "Ready to duel?" He asked me.
I had mentioned back that I wanted to practice my spells some more and Draco isn't the greatest at defense so we decided to have a simple dueling match.
"Yeah, sure. Want to move the tables out of the way first?" I questioned.
"Oh right. Probably should do that first." He chuckled. He pointed his wand at the group of tables and murmured, "Locomotor." The tables levitated off the ground slightly and then moved up against the wall.
I followed in pursuit and helped move the other tables.
"Hey Draco, can I ask you something?" I inquired when we finished moving the tables.
"What's up?"
"Well, it's just, Ron talks a lot and I was just wondering why we fight in the first place if we don't hate each other?"
