Harry's POV
I swear everyone's been acting weird. Hermione and Ron both look like I've lost it and that blonde kid. Malfoy. He's a mystery.
I feel like I should know him, but I just don't. Ron seems to really hate his guts though. Maybe because he's a Slytherin, but something tells me there's more to it.
Hermione and I are walking around aimlessly. It's only been a few days after the incident in the Great Hall and people have been treating me like a plague, so Hermione thought it be a good idea to get away and out of the common room before curfew.
"Harry. Do you want to talk about what's going on lately?" Hermione interrupted my train of thought.
"What do you mean, 'Mione? Everyone's acting crazy because of the whole Malfoy thing."
"That's because you and Malfoy hate each other."
"I barely know him. We're partners in potions and that's it. Why does everyone make it seem like we've known each other for years?"
"Because you have."
I looked at her as if she'd gone crazy. I trust Hermione. I really do. She's my best friend, why wouldn't I? It's just, this whole thing has me twisted. If I knew Malfoy, then why don't I remember him anymore? It makes no sense.
"Listen. If I know him. I no longer do. Maybe I hit my head or something."
"I'm gonna do some digging and see what I can find. Until then, you should really try to remember exactly what's happened in the last few days." I nodded my head and we left for the common room.
--------
The next day I sat in my potions class next to the tall blonde. We're currently making some sort of potion, but I tuned Slughorn out so I don't know what it is. My mind had been running everywhere trying to remember exactly what happened.
"Well." He started. I turned my gaze to him. I couldn't help but notice how my heart skipped a beat as I took him in. His pale skin gleaming and his blonde hair shining in the light. He was stirring some purplish liquid in the cauldron. "I guess it only makes sense if we officially introduce ourselves seeing as you don't know who I am. I'm Draco Malfoy, Slytherin prefect." He said elegantly.
"Yes well. Nice to meet you I suppose. You think someone hexed me?" I couldn't help asking him. It could have been him to do it seeing as everyone calls us enemies.
"How should I know? You're the one who got yourself into this mess." He sneered.
I huffed. "I doubt it was on purpose." I replied dryly.
"Whatever. Can you tell me what you were doing the night before? Maybe it could reveal something." He seemed genuinely concerned, which I found off after everything Ron has told me.
"I don't remember that night. Not really anyways. I remember heading to dinner after Snape's detention, but then it's black. I woke up the next morning on the floor to the bathroom."
"Bathroom?"
"Yeah. Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." I stopped. Myrtle. She was there. "Now that I remember it, she said I was distraught. I assumed it's because I had another one of my nightmares, but maybe....."
"Maybe she saw what happened!" Draco called out loudly. Some students turned to us and he looked down avoiding any more embarrassment.
"Look. I don't see why everyone is making a huge fuss over this. If we hate each other then maybe this is a good thing?" I asked questioningly.
Draco looked at me confused. "What do you mean?"
"I don't know, but I bet that whatever happened to me is because we wouldn't stop fighting. Maybe someone did this on purpose in hopes of us at least toning it down a notch. Ron's told me enough to know we've both put each other in the hospital wing quite a few times." Draco frowned at my comment.
