Harry's POV

A few more days have passed. Although Hermione and I have barely spoken, she is merely a day away from finishing the potion, with the help of Draco, of course.

Ron had just informed me that she has finished with the potion for today and said I can expect it to be done tomorrow morning.

This thought pleased me. I'm excited to be getting my memories back and learning more about who Draco Malfoy really is.

When dinner was done for the evening, I checked everywhere for Hermione. I felt horrible for how things ended between us and because she is still doing all of this work for me, I figured she deserved an apology.

Eventually, I realized she wasn't in the library or any of her other studying places and found her in the Gryffindor common room. A charms book was in her hands and it looked like she had everyone around her tuned out, her full concentration on the book.

"I'm sorry, Hermione." I told my best friend. Hermione looked up from her book, probably not even realizing that I had entered the common room.

"Harry." She said, setting her book down and standing up to face me. "I should be the one apologizing. I stepped out of line." She said. The two of us have practically been ignoring each other since our argument in the library. Honestly, it was mostly me avoiding her as she's been trying to talk to me. I just, I needed some time alone to think before confronting her. "Are we okay, though? Still friends?" She asked.

I smiled lightly and pulled her in for a hug. "You'll always be my best friend, 'Mione" I told her.

"What am I? A blast-ended skrewt?" Ron broke the joyous occasion.

We pulled away and faced our other best friend, who was seated in a chair not far from us, arms crossed.

"Oh, come on. You know you're our best friend too." I clarified.

Ron smiled. "I better be. After all, I'm the best one out of this bunch."

"Out of what? Having the emotional range of a teaspoon?" Hermione teased, bringing up memories from the past.

Ron grunted. "That's not what I am talking about!" He called out. "Anyways, now that the two of you have made up and I can actually have a discussion with the both of you. Harry, what's been going on with you and Malfoy?" He questioned, taking a turn in the conversation. It looks like he has been bursting to ask me that.

I frowned and looked away from both of my friends piercing gazes. "I don't know what you're talking about." I commented, still refusing to look at them.

Ron rolled his eyes at me. "Sure, mate. Let's ignore the fact that the two of you have been spending a lot of time together, sometimes sneaking off with one another. Oh! Let's not forget the fact that he defended you the other day when you and Hermione got in your little fight."

Ron has never been a very observant one, so for him to come out and say this makes me realize that Draco and I have been doing a terrible job at keeping the two of us a secret.

I know he didn't want people finding out about us being friends, but he practically outed us the day he defended me and so, would it be wrong to lie to them here and now? For the sake of keeping Draco happy?

My friends would never tell anyone, I know that much for a fact. They're trustworthy and reliable and I go to them for everything. Lying just doesn't sound right, not when I know my friends.

"We've just been getting along more, probably because I don't remember anything negative about him." I opted for. I didn't tell them that the two of us decided on a friendship, but I also didn't lie to them.
