     My Dearest Dragon,
Apologies I couldn't respond sooner, I am currently in Marseille with an old friend. For your sake we will not discuss any matters involving him with his name, but I am sorry to here you are distressed. In regards to what you described as 'a mess', it is simply how it works. We love who we love and our minds do as they wish. I'm glad you got to experience an intimate action with someone you've fancied for so long, it helps us think clearly. As for you looking for advise, with copious amounts of sympathy I will inform you that nothing is better than communication. Before you retort, yes, I know that you are no wordsmith, and yes, I know you are currently lacking your sharp wit; But, Draco, reality is that if you wish to engage in a committed relationship with him, it is crucial that you learn to express your feelings. I trust that you have resumed at least greeting each other as you pass in the mornings. By the time you get this I will be back at the manor so the relay period will be lessened. Please continue to fill me in, darling, and I will do my best to assist.

With love,
Your ever supporting mother.

Draco received the reply at lunch later that day, one of the corners poking his scalp as it fell on his downward facing head.

"When did you write to your Mum?" Theo asked, catching the letter before it fell into his soup and inspecting the crest stamped to the front.

"It's from Mum?" Draco replied excitedly, picking his head up and looking into Theodore's hand.

"Is this not the Malfoy crest, Draco?" Pansy replied rhetorically, snatching the letter, making a show of presenting the stamped wax, then passing it across the table.

"See you in potions." Draco said, scrambling to put his arithmancy essay into his book bag and departing.

Hello Mother,
Thank you for replying and your willingness to leave his name out of this, I hope you enjoyed France. I can't say I'm pleased to be told by the wisest person in my life that I can not control the awkward responses that my thoughts provide me, but I suppose I just needed to hear it; The same for your advice to communicate. We had resumed conversing civilly, which led to eventually having a short conversation about feelings, and then got caught up in...other things. And now we are back to square one, just with the assurance that he's at least sexually attracted to me. I've tried to discuss these matters with my friends to spare you the second hand embarrassment, but they all find my current predicament all to hilarious. I appreciate any insight you have to give and it was very nice to talk.

Loving you,
Your Dragon.

He concluded, sealing the letter and tying it around the owls leg.

"Narcissa Malfoy." He told the owl, offering a treat which it took, and sending it out the window. Closing the push out glass panes, he made his way to potions.

Darling Draco,
It is pleasing to know I am, in fact, the wisest person that occupies an important role in your life. Besides that, I know it can be disappointing for you to find out that you can't control every aspect of your life. A thorn forever in your side. Ha. Although I appreciate your efforts to conceal your more intimate relations with said man, it is relatively important information in determining ones true romantic intentions. Just to clarify, in no way am I asking for details, but perhaps you should try digging deeper into the tenderness of his actions. And if and when you come into trouble deciphering those, please do not hesitate to confide in me.

Enjoy your evening,
Your most solicitous mother.

"I'm offended, Draco-" Blaise began, his adams apple nodding as he swallowed the last of his bite. "You have clearly chosen your mother over the rest of your very, very understanding friends." He pouted, a sly grin still coming through.

"Why wouldn't I, while she talks sense into me, you all laugh." He replied, taking a final bite of his dinner and gesturing for one of them to make a closing statement.

"You can't tell me you're reciting your sex life to your mother-" Theo drawled, an eyebrow quirked and a concerned look in his eyes.

"Of course not, but at least she's good with emotions, unlike some people." Draco replied, directing the final part at Blaise and standing. "I'm off to write her back, I'll see you in the common room." He said, quickly departing.

"She's not going to reply tonight mate!" Blaise shouted after him, making the smallest spectacle of himself to which Draco could only shrug and keep walking.

Mum,
Feel no obligation to reply tonight, I just figured it would be more productive for the letter to have arrived with more hours of sunlight left in the day. As a reassurance to help you sleep tonight, I am still very much a virgin, just with slightly more experience. I did find your thought about looking into how he treated me rather interesting, yet still failed to make sense of any of it. He was always making sure I was comfortable, was big on consent, and went about everything with what I can only understand to be some degree of love, possibly? But of course I can outweigh all of this with thoughts such as he's naturally caring and I haven't any idea what it feels like to be romantically loved verses platonically. Confusion is consuming me, Mother. One bit of information I have gained from my quickly becoming intolerable peers is that people who are only interested in self gratification, which he didn't ever seem to be going for, wouldn't spare the time to kiss you, which he also did. Does any of this mean something?

Yours truly,
D.M

He cringed as he wove the string through the newly punched hole, the personal information being shared an uncomfortable thought. Sighing, he fed the bird, knotted the parchment around it's ankle, and set it free, watching as it dipped through the starry sky, remnants of the formerly bright blue sky just falling over the horizon. This really was a mess.

"Hey."
