"Christina, I thought you liked Caleb?" Catie asks me. "I did, do, something like that. But did you really think Caleb would take a chance on me?" I ask Catie. "Boys are dumb." Addison says. "Well all of them besides Colt." Addison says and smiles. We're staying at Addison's house for a little. "Look he got me this flower!" Addison shows us. "And look chocolate!" Addison says excitedly. I'm just glad to be out of my own house. And Catie is just glad that I'm not dead somewhere. My phone dings, it's Micah. "Is that who it is?" Catie asks me. I don't think she'd want me to get with her brother, but then again, I have no idea. "He's my friend honey, nothing more." I say. "Can we go to my field?" Addison asks. "We could like manifest or I don't know get killed." Addison says. "We're not getting killed." Catie says. I look out of her window. It's raining, just like how it always is. Every time it rains I think of my biological mom. The day she died, it rained. But only for 10 minutes and it was sunny for the rest of the day. I'd like to think it's was my biological mom's way of telling me she made it to heaven. I miss her a lot. She'd be able to help me with all that I'm going through, but she's not here. And she can't help me. I wipe a tear coming down my face. And turn and look at Addison and Catie. "It's raining children, we can't go anyways." I say. "Haha, we can't go." Catie says. "Haha, I have a boyfriend and you don't." Addison mocks Catie. Catie points at me. "She doesn't have one either." Catie says. I laugh and look down at my phone. The spam of I love you texts flood my notifications. "Yeah, I don't have one either." I say and sit on Addison's bed. I didn't want to get their hopes up. Hell, I didn't want to get mine up either. They both looked so happy that we were all together. I'm glad that they are happy. But time is running out.
I don't know how much longer I can fake it.
