"CATIE HAS A MANS!" I scream excitedly. "He doesn't even talk to me." Catie says and rolls her eyes. "Well Colt is better." Addison says to us. I lay in the floor of Addison's room. Catie lays on the bed and Addison left us to talk to Colt. I sigh as I lay there. My head hurts and I miss my sister. My phone dings a couple times but I don't care enough to check it. "I felt bad." Catie says. "You really like him." I say and smile. "No I don't." Catie says back to me. She likes him a lot, but she would never really admit it. I'm proud of her. "Wait so you've had a boyfriend this whole time and didn't tell me?" Catie says and looks up from her phone. I pick up my phone and look at the notifications. "Slipped my mind." I say and shrug my shoulders. It didn't actually, I just don't want to get their hopes up. Or mine. I've got trust issues, depression, anxiety, and a lot of other things wrong with me. I'm scared to love someone again. Terrified actually. But with him it feels different. Addison's little brother comes into her room and lays in the floor with me. He's actually pretty cool and we get along really well. He talked to me for a while, and Catie complained about not getting a text back. Addison's brother leaves to go play Mario Cart and Catie follows him. I tell them that I'll be there in a minute to play with them. Catie closes the bedroom door and it's just me alone in the room. All these negative thoughts fill my head. "He doesn't really love you. He could do better. He doesn't actually want to be with you. He's cheating." I repeat the last sentence in my head on a loop. Not him, he's different. "He loves you Christina, you know that." I mumble to myself. But no matter how hard I try to fight off all of those thoughts, the just get stronger. "He's going to cheat. He's not busy, he's with someone else. He lies when he tells you that you're pretty. He probably hopes you'll kill yourself so that he won't have to deal with you." My own thoughts tell me. "He wants me to kill myself." I mumble and silently begin to cry. Catie opens the door and I quickly wipe my tears. "Cmon it's your turn." Catie says to me. I stand up out of the floor and read the text messages I got from him.
I love you. The text read. I swipe the message away and put my phone on do not disturb. Poor Micah, he doesn't deserve this.
I love you Micah.
