Chapter 4

I took my hand off the table. "Hmm..." The girl waves her hand at the smoke. "What happened?!" I said in a panic. I looked at my hands. A weird shape appeared on my right palm. It was a circle it's a little x in the middle. There were two quarters of a circle inside the main one on the top right and the bottom left of the circle. "What's this!" I put my hand toward Griffin. "That's normal. You need to calm down." "Okay..." I took deep breaths. "Listen. I need you to pay attention." The girl said to me. I looked back at her. "As you saw it's raining hacks." "Hacks?" "Yes that is what the rain is called. It's the first sign of another invasion from the Croders." "Who are the Croders?" "They are the people of the dark. If you were going to ask what the smoke was. If the smoke did not appear we would erase your memory of this place and send you home. If the smoke did appear. You have powers like the rest of us." "What?" She looked at the others. The girl with cyan hair lifted her hand and ice shards floated over her hand. She looked at the guy with red hair. He lifted his hand and fire came from his hand. The guy with black hair stomped the ground and a rock flew across the room. The guy with the hood lifted his hand and there was a mini tornado appeared on his hand. The wing blew off his hood revealing his White wavy hair, and his brown eyes. His skin was a little pale. Griffin put his hand out beside me and water appeared above his hand. "You must find your powers. But we will do introductions first. I'm Kori, that one is Blaze" She points to the guy with red hair. "He is Liam." She points to the guy with black hair. "And he is Gailen" she points to the guy with white hair. "And you already know Griffin." Liam walked up to me and held out his hand. I shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you..." "Nadia." "Nice to meet you Nadia." "Now back to business." Kori walked up to ma and gently grabbed my arm. "Follow me." *what is it with these people and grabbing...* I thought. She led me to the back of the room where there was a door. She opened it and there was a huge room. "This is our hang out area." She let me go. The walls were white and there were two gray couches beside each other in front of a huge T.V. There was a paused game on the T.V. There was a kitchen to the right of the door. And all around the walls there were several closed doors. Blaze and Liam ran and jumped over the couch. "There are more of us. They are just out right now." Griffin said. Just then a girl with short spiky blond hair walked into the room from the meeting room. She was covered in ashes. She was wearing a red jacket over her gray bra. *Why is that just out in the open?* She was wearing blue sweatpants and green tennis shoes. "Hey guys!" She walked in more and spotted me. "Who are you..." "uhh Nadia." She glared at me as she walked away. "Sorry about her. That's J.J. She is a bit hot headed." "I saw..." I responded. I walked to the couch and Liam and Blaze were playing some gun game. "Hey. Come over here." Kori called me. I walk over to her. She opens a door and it's a small empty room. "Go in." I walk in and she closes the door behind me. "Hey!" "It's fine in there you will find your key." "My what?" "YOUR KEY!" I heard her walk away. I looked around and waited. *bzzt* I heard a weird noise. *bzzzt* it happened again. The sound increased until the room was practically filled with lighting. But I wasn't shocked. The wall opened at the other end of the room. There was a dark blue key in the little opening. "What is that?" I walked over to the key. I reached into the little place where the key was. I grabbed the key. It shocked me. "Ow!" I tried to grab it again. It shocked me again. I walked up to the door. "How do I get the key!?" "Pull it from the box it is in." Griffin said. I sighed and walked back to the key. I grabbed and held onto the key. It continuously shocked me. I let go. "okay... you wanna play like that." I grabbed the key again and it shocked me. I held on and pulled it. The further the key came out the more the key shocked me. I yanked it out and it shocked me. It was really loud. The lighting sellted down in the room until it was gone. I looked closer at the key. It was blue with cyan jigjag patterns around the whole key.
