Keys of Fate

Chapter 1

Down a chaotic hall full of students. Bully's, jocks, girly girls, nerds, weirdos, gamers, and weebs. There were several friend groups. I was in none of them. One guy ran up to me in the hall and pushed me against the wall. "Hey there." "Hi." I ducked under his arm and started to walk the other way. "Hold on. Why don't you stay?" "I need to get to class." I continued to walk. He put his hand on my shoulder. "Ok I'm getting impatient." The kids around us backed away. They all chanted "Fight! Fight! Fight!" He pushed me down into the ground. I sighed as I got up. I tried to walk away but the crowd was too thick. The guy launched a punch at me. I leaned back and dodged it. The crowd went "oooh." I walked backwards away from him. He threw several other punches at me. I dodged them. I walked back more and I hit the lockers behind me. He came at me again. I took a big step out of the way at the last second and he ran into the lockers. "Why you...why do you have to be so stubborn!?" Some of the kids behind me grabbed my backpack. "What?" He came at me again and punched me in the face. He backed up ready to do it again. I let go of my back pack and came at him really fast and ended up punching him in the gut. He backed up a bit. Then the bell rang. "I'm watching you freak." He said pointing two fingers back and forth between him and me. I pick up my backpack and went to class. After last period the same guy that fought me came up to me. "Meet me behind the school at 3:30 tomorrow." He walked away. I looked confused. The next day at 3:30 I went behind the school. I saw him standing alone. "Now I'm gonna make you wish you didn't embarrass me." He gets in a fighting stance. Then door other kids jumped out of different places and held me still. "What the heck?!" I said in a panic. I yanked my left arm from one guy and elbowed him in the face. Then punched the guy on my right. They both staggered back. The two guys standing next to the main guy ran twords me and they both slid and grabbed my legs pushing me down to the ground. Then the two guys that I hit back grabbed my arms again. The main guy walked up to me. "Well, well, well looks like the 'skilled' loner has been defeated." He then bent down and punched my gut then my face. "How does that feel?" He continues to hit me. "Hey! Leave her alone!" A boy and in's up to them. They all look at him. "This is personal business kid. So you better run along or you'll end up like her." He doesn't move. "Leave her alone." "Oooh am I supposed to be scared?" "Of me. No. But the principal. Yes." The principle walks out from the corner. They all get up and run away. I lay there with a slightly bloody nose. "Are you okay?" "Yea I'm fine." I sit up and wipe the blood off my face. They both help me up. "Thanks." I said. "No problem." The kid said. The principal walked up to me. "How did this happen?" "Well the main guy of the group said to meet him here at 3:30. I thought he would apologize or something. But I was wrong. Then Four or his guys pinned me down and he started to beat me up." He nods and walks away. "Ethan watch over her please." The principal said. "Ok. What's your name?" Ethan said holding out his hand. I shook his hand. "It's Nadia." "Nice to meet you Nadia." "Nice to meet you, Ethan." He let go of my hand. "Are you gonna go home?" Nod. We both walk separate ways and we both go home.
