Breathing in deeply, I check the time. 7:06. I'm a little late, it's alright. Adjusting my leather jacket tighter to my chest, I quickly walk up to Amphitrite's in attempt to escape the chilly nighttime air.

I walk into the restaurant, scanning the room for Eros. It smells like barbecue and smoke, but the tables are set up elegantly and the whole restaurant has dim lighting that creates a romantic feel.

I see Eros waving from a table to my right, next to a large window displaying the night sky. Making my way towards him, I sit opposite him at the table.

"Hey," I smile. "Sorry I'm late."

"Don't worry about it," he shrugs. "You hardly were." There's a slight pause as I take him in. He's dressed in a patterned vest on top of a formal long-sleeved shirt; hoop earrings dangling from his ears and various rings on his fingers as he entwines his hands and leans forwards towards me.

"You look great tonight." He tells me. A smile tugs at my lips.

"Thank you, I was just thinking that about you."

He laughs, extending his arm to place his hand on top of mine. "I'm glad you agreed to come. I've been looking forward to this night."

"Me too," I admit, gazing at his eyes. They're tinted purple and seem ever-changing, fitting for a god of love.

"Have you been here before?" He asks, pulling out his menu.

"I haven't even heard of it," I admit. "I've only been around Olympus for a month or so."

"Oh? You grew up elsewhere?"

"Yeah, on earth actually."

"Hmmm, cool." Eros gazes at his menu, not really paying attention. He realizes, and sets it down. "Oh, I'm sorry. Hadn't realized I'd zoned out."

"Don't worry about it," I assure him. "What do they have here?"

"Everything but seafood," he laughs lightly. "Amphitrite isn't a fan of fish mistreatment."

"Perfect. This seems like a fancy place."

"Oh, I'll pay," he assures me.

I blush. "That's not what I meant-"

"Oh. Well yeah, it's a nice restaurant. Do you like it?"

"I do," I smile at him. "Thanks for inviting me."

"Anytime," he winks at me before gesturing over a waiter.

"Can I take your orders?" The satyr inquires.

"Yes. We'll just have a steak," he tells the waiter.

"And for drinks?"

"I'll have champagne, what about you, Hermes?" Both he and the waiter look at me.

"I'll have wine."

"Red or white?"

"Red."

"Wonderful." The waiter takes both of our menus. "I'll be right back."

"Steak, huh?" I wiggle my eyebrows at Eros.

"Yeah, is that okay? The portions here are huge, so I figured we'd share."

I shrug. "Sure, that's fine."

Eros takes my hand and leans across the table, kissing me. It was brief, but intense.

"Stop, you'll make me fall for you," I tease.

"Haven't you considered the fact that I want you to?" He gives me another peck before leaning back again and sitting down back in his seat.
