The Aftermath

When i look at you, its like im looking at me

Luke's POV:
Reggie speaks first, we're just all in shock.
"Lizzi" Reggie says, running up and hugging her. He pulls her in tight.  She pulls away and stares at him.
"You died- that night 25 years ago"
"I'm back, it's a lot to explain Liz" he says
"I missed you"
"Me too Kiddo" he says.

"Well if it isn't Elizabeth Peters" Alex says joking with her.
"Alex" she shrieks hugging him. She lets go and hugs me too.
"Y'all are back"
"Yep and this is Julie. The one that brought us back" I say smiling holding Julie's hand.
"Of course, I'm such a big fan. I never saw the video but Andy played y'all demo for me!" She says and pulls Julie in for a hug.

Julie's POV:
"It's so nice to meet you" I say letting go.
"You too! Oh shit, I mean crap. I should take y'all into her office" we all take deep breaths and follow Elizabeth. She give sReggie on last hug before we go in and she shuts the door behind us.

"Hello guys, it's so nice to finally meet the whole group" Andy says standing up and shaking there hands.
"It's so nice to meet you" Luke smiles at her.
"Here sit down, let's talk"

2 hours later
"Okay! I will message y'all some details later. It was very nice to meet you again, Julie. And your band is so charming."
"Thank you" I say smiling. I walk outside and Luke runs right up to me.
"Well was the final decision?" I look down at my feet.
"Oh" he says and goes to hug me.
"Umm they wanna get us in the studio next week"
"WHAT?" He shrieks. I look up at him and he picks me up spinning excitedly again. He puts me down and kisses me passionately. Alex and Reggie jump around. I laugh and we all jump around together.

"So?" Elizabeth ask coming up behind us.
"We got the record deal!" Reggie beams
"That's awesome Reg!!!" She screams hugging him.
"Do y'all maybe wanna go get dinner and celebrate?" Alex ask
"Me and Jules are down" Luke says grabbing my hand again.
"Lizzi, wanna come?"
"Can I?"
"Of course!" I pipe up, smiling again.
"Oh you should call Flynn and Carrie" Alex says
"Only if you call Willie" I say smirking. We call everyone.

This just feels unreal, I'm so shocked. It's only been a few months but look how far we've come. We played the Orpheum and now we're working to put out our first album.

That night after dinner
Luke's POV:
We go into the garage and Elizabeth gasp.
"It looks so different"
"Yeah, Julie's mom changed some things but she keep all of our old stuff"
"That's so cool" Elizabeth says spinning around and staring.
"Lizzi, how do you even remember? You were so little?" Reggie ask
"I always remembered coming out here with y'all, especially when mom and dad fought. It was a safe place"
"Liz, what happened to mom and dad?"
"They live somewhere in Canada now. After you- well you know, they just stopped fighting"
"Wow"
"Yeah. I remember the night y'all died like it was yesterday. It's my clearest memory ever. We were sitting in the living room and I was playing with a toy guitar. Then all the phones agreed ringing. Mom rushed up from her seat and grab it. I remember her scream, it sounded like her heart had been ripped out. It hot up and asked what happened? They just held me. I was so lost then we got to the hospital and I saw you Reggie. You were gone. That's the first time I ever really understood sadness or pain. It hurt all over seeing you" she says trembling wiping tears away. Reggie looks up, his face drenched as well. We all sniffle.

"Liz, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to leave you"
"But you did, you just left. You left mom and dad and me. And you know who had to pick up the pieces once you were gone? Me, not you" 
"We weren't planning on dying"
"You didn't even tell us there was a show happening"
"Like mom and dad would have cared"
"YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING" she yells storming out of the garage.
"I-" Reggie starts.
"I got it Reg" Julie says running after her. I go and hug Reg.
