The Aftermath

my life would be real low, zero

"Julie, just on time" Carrie says happily. 

"Yep"

"Come on in" we walk up to her room and once I'm inside it feels like old times.

"So Carrie. What did you wanna talk about?"

"I'm sorry"

"What?" i snap my head from looking around

"I've been a really horrible friend, when I found out your mom was sick. I left you"

"Carrie"

"No please let me finish. I didn't know what to do, I figured that it would help if I wasn't there. Then she died, i knew i couldn't fix things after i left you like that. But it was almost like when i saw you, i saw her. Your mom was more of a mom to me then my own, you know that. it was just hard and i couldn't take losing another one so i elft. i didn't even think about what would happen to you or how much you would need me. I've been so terrible to you" carrie says wiping a tear away.

"Carrie its okay"

"It's not and the other day at the Orpheum, I finally realized. I realized that no matter how mean and evil i was, you were always strong. No matter what happened to you, you always had that. I so badly wanted that Julie, i'm hoping you can give me a second chance" all i do is nod and we both hug. I jump onto her bed and she still looks stiff.

"Carrie, is something else wrong?"

"Yes" she says standing back up and starts pacing. "So one of your band members, the cute one. His name is... is... LUKE!"

"What-what about him?" i stutter

"He's here, my dad is going crazy"

"Oh"

"He says he knew him when they were in some band together like 25 years ago. He's trapping him here. I-I don't know what to do"

"Where?" i ask, looking at her hopefully

"I don't know, he won't tell me.  but i'll help you find him" Carrie says

"Carrie, thank you so much," I say , hugging her again. Eventually we go down into the den.

"Baby girl, do you know where Luke is?" Trevor says, turning the corner. He stares at me with shock in his eyes.

"Dad, you remember julie right?" Carrie asks, a sweet smile plastered on her face.

"Of course, sweetheart"

"Well dad, she may be coming around more!" Carrie says happily.

"Well then i'm happy to have her" trevor says giving me a knowing look. My eyes are stuck on on a door behind him. I see the guys behind him and Carrie talking.

"I was wondering if y'all wanna do some music stuff, just like old times" i ask

"That sounds awesome Julie"

"Yes Carrie's right, let's do it" they both run up to the music room and I know that I will be right there. I go over to the guys

"Y'all are late" i say crossing my arms. 

"Well we don't have our powers anymore" reggie pouts

"Wait what?"

"Yeah we had to sneak in" alex says 

"and it was really hard, i haven't used a window in 25 years" 

"I need y'all to check the rooms down here, i feel something off about down here"

"Okay, get up there before they come back," Alex says, pushing on my shoulder.

Alex's POV

Julie runs upstairs and we start to check downstairs

"LUKE" Reggie whispers yells, of course there is no answer. I walk through his giant hallway and pull on every door. None come open, there all locked. I got to the one Julie was talking about and I listened up close. I hear a humming of a very familiar melody. Perfect harmony, which means LUKE

"Luke" i say knocking lightly on the door

"Alex?' a voice ask. of course, its Luke. i feel a smile creep up onto my face

"It's me and Reggie" just as i say that, a loud thud comes from the living rome. It's followed by the crashing of glass. I hear feet running and both Carrie and Julie yelling desperately. I run over to Reggie but I stop short.

"You" Trevor says from behind me. I slowly turn around and see Julie breathing fast behind him.

"Bobby-" i start but amiddently stop.

"All for you, we made a deal"

"No you took Luke" Reggie says coming up from behind me.

"Mr. wilson please" julie pleads

"No no no no, out of my house"

"Mr.Wilson" Julie says trying to get his attention, maybe to convince him to calm down.

"GET OUT" he yells, grabbing me and Julie by the arms, dragging us outside. He throws us out and Reggie follows.

"What is wrong with you?" Carrie says from behind him, making him turn

"Baby girl"

"No you used to be nice and caring until mom left. I know you're hurting dad, I do but you're hurting other people now. You have to know how that's wrong, and you gotta except she left you. i miss her too and i've been terrible but now you're acting just as bad. '' Carrie says . Trevor looks at her with pain and regret in his face. 

"im sorry dad but i have too" Carrie says letting a single tear slip down her face. she pulls the door open and.........
