Day 11: A Deceased Person I Wish I Could Talk To

Dear Grandma,

I wish I could just give you one more hug. I know that if I actually got that chance I would spaz out, but I bet I'd get used to it. I miss you, but you're happy where you are.

I'm surprised you passed anyway. You were healthy, in your 70's, and you were very happy. I guess it's because you worked very hard when you were alive.

I remember your love of hummingbirds. How could anyone forget that giant hummingbird covered thing you had in the dining room? I thought it was hilarious that one day when Taylor and I got to spend the day helping you because we wouldn't go to sleep the night before. They thought they were punishing us! Most of all, I can't forget the amazing taste of your one of a kind banana pudding.

Sometimes, when I feel on the verge of crying or I just went through a rough time, I whisper to you, or I pick up the elegant pieces of your old jewelry and take note of the intricate designs. It helps me remember you.

I love you, Grandma, and I'll never forget you.

Mindy
