New Day

Chapter 33.

Aashna's POV

Dear diary,
Its new day. Everything is good from now. Aryan, Aditya, the villains of my life have gone away, vanished. I got back my parents, actually cleared my misunderstanding about them. The only thing which is bothering me now is Sanket. I don't know what is he upto. He hasn't been talking to me since so many days. I even dont know what kind of a relationship we share and why am I so eager to talk to him or even see him. Are we just friends?

After writing my today's diary, I packed my bag, put up my favourite comfy outfit to dance today. When i reached college, i rehearsed for the entire day. I was tired after a few hours and i went to fill my water bottle. When i was going, i saw Sanket in one of the rooms. I thought for a second but then decided to go in and talk to him.

"Hey" i say.
"Hi" he said, still practising his dance step.

I was kinda surprised that ge didn't show any interest in our conversation and it was becoming awkward.

"Okay then i'll go now" i say faking a chuckle. When i said this, he just shrugged and continued practising.
I was shocked and annoyed. How could he just not talk to me? There is definitely something wrong. Or maybe because of the last talk we had, about talking but no kissing, no friends with benefits!

I tried to control my anger, my irritation and continued dancing. It was evening and my last rehearsal for the day. I had to jump in one of the dance steps. When i jumped, i thought i would land safely as i did the rest of the day in my rehearsal, but this time i fell down to the ground. Yes, thats because i was thinking about Sanket not talking to me during my whole dance.

All my thoughts about Sanket vanished as the pain in my right leg grew. I think I've twisted my leg. I was just crying out with pain when Sanket saw me, kneeled to the ground and asked me with concern, "What what happened? Are you okay?" I ignored him just like he did when i came to talk to him. If he had ego, so did I.

"Looks like you're ignoring me, wow, even in this condition." He said rolling his eyes.

"Ya just like you did"

"What, when did I ignore you?" He asked trying to convince me that he does not know when did he do this.

"Oh really? When i came to talk to you and you were busy doing your rehearsal." I said crossing my arms and turning my face.

"I didn't ignore you, ok, I was actually busy doing my rehearsal, okay?" He said proud of what he did.

"Besides, i hope you remember about our conversation in your room. You told me to stay away and not to kiss you." He continued in a convincing tone.

"Yes i told you to not kiss me but i never told you to stay away!" I yelled.

He raised his eyebrow with a little smirk when i said this.

"Um i-i me-mean we are friends, we should talk, we can talk. Just like we talk to our damnfam friends." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh yeah, correct." He said smiling.

"So.. was it just a misunderstanding?" I asked with a hint of doubt in my voice. He started speaking while sitting down properly, " No aashna, i didn't talk to you that time thats because whenever i converse with you, i don't know why, I cant control myself. I can't keep my mind in control. You're there everywhere in my mind and heart. I don't know what this means, but i definitely know I cant live without you. I can never live as friends with you, its always more. I dont know what this is but yeah.."

I blushed, confusingly. I didn't know what to reply so i just uttered and regretted instantly, "what do you mean you cant control yourself?"

"Like whenever i'm around you i want to touch your hair, caress your head and cheeks, have a nose fight with you, play with your hair." He said and i blushed.

"And right now all i wanna do is to kiss you." He said staring at my lips and then he looked upwards to know my reaction.

"Me too." I said, looking at his lips, wanting to taste them. When i said this, he leaned into me and we were inches away and someone came in.

"Ugh perfect timing." I heard him mumble to himself.

It was Manav and he said coming in, "woah woah woah sorry sorry but what the hell is happening?"

"You say sorry and come in, just get lost manav" he said rolling his eyes.

"Shush thats so rude Sanket." I said embarrassed as well as blushing.

"Bhabhi se kuch seekh le Sanket." He said smirking.

Sanket said, "bhabhi nahi hai"

"Fir bhi kiss?"

"Ya wo just 'heat of the moment' you know!?" I said being too embarrassed.

"Ya ya i know, 'heat of the moment types, unnati ke saath bohot baar huye hai mere bhi"

"Details ki zarurat nahi thi Manav" i said.

"But just tell me what is going on between the two of you?" He said being serious.

"Nothing is going on. It was just 'heat of the moment'." Sanket said.

"Okay then, i just came here to inform you both that the competition is preponed. Its tomorrow! So i hope you guys are ready." Manav said.

"Yeah we're ready." Sanket and I said in unison.

"Ye kya ho gaya Aashna?" Manav yelled and asked me in concern when he looked at my twisted leg.

"Just twisted my leg while dancing. Need a relispray and it will be okay." Aashna said.

"No it wont be okay Honey. Wait i'll help you." Sanket said and took my leg in his hands. He made me stretch a bit and twisted my leg the other side. There was a big click sound and my leg was okay! I could walk like before.

"Wow yaar Sanket kidhar se seekha"  manav said while i thanked him for doing this.

"Nani ma ke nuskhe" sanket said and we all laughed at his way of speaking that.
