Yale: 5 minutes. I'm counting. Explain.
Newt: I'm really struggling with school right now, my parents on my ass because I don't have to grades to transfer to Columbia.
Yale: I'm still not hearing any reasons for why you hit me.
Newt: I'm under a lot of pressure that you wouldn't understand.
Yale: Also not a reason.
Newt: Do you love me?
Yale: I'm afraid of you.
Newt: But you love me. I'm always here for you, you have no one else. Your mom never calls, Sienna has friends of her own at Juilliard even Vinnie and Casey managed to replace with you Malina.
Yale: Don't say that.
Newt: It's the truth. I mean it's only a matter of time before Vinnie and Malina decide they want to spend more time with Casey. Didn't he just take her from you thursday. He's trying to keep her 3 days a week, sooner or later, he's gonna try for full custody.
Yale: He wouldn't do that.
Newt: It doesn't matter! Because he can. You don't need him, you only need me. Let's just talk about it back at your place okay.
Yale: Okay.

Newt and I got up and headed towards my apartment.

The bar wasn't too far away so we just decided to walk. The entire time I thought about if Vinnie would actually try to take Casey from me. Was Newt right? I mean... Casey is mine. No one could ever change that. I carried her for 9 months and Vinnie wouldn't take what's mine.

I hailed a cab over.

Yale: I need to make a quick stop.

Vinnie opened the door with a surprised look on his face before I pushed it open and walked right in.

I picked up casey, grabbed her bags and attempted to leave Vinnie's place.

Casey was in tears.

Vinnie: Yo what's going on?
Yale: I need to go.
Vinnie: Go where? Why are you taking Casey with you?
Yale: BECAUSE SHES MY DAUGHTER VINNIE!
Vinnie: Hold on! Can we talk this out?
Yale: No, please move.
Vinnie: She's my daughter too, I have a right to know where you're taking her!
Yale: No. No you really don't.
Vinnie: Yale!
Malina: Woah what's going on?
Casey: Mamma
Malina: Oh my god
Yale: What did she just say?
Malina: I don't know why she did that
Yale: Has she said it before? Did you teach her that?
Vinnie: No of course not!
Yale: Newt was right! You are trying to take her.

I managed to get into the hallway before Vinnie stopped me again.

Vinnie: Hold on! NEWT?! You're still talking to that asshole?!
Newt: Yeah she is.
Vinnie: Of fuck off!
Newt: Or what tough guy?
Vinnie: Don't pull that shit! You hit women. Where I'm from, men who hit women are what we call pussies. I should beat the shit out of you for what you did to her.
Newt: I love Yale.
Vinnie: LOOK AT HER FACE! YOU DONT LOVE HER! IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE, YOU DONT DO THAT TO THEM!
Yale: Newt, let's leave.
Vinnie: What are you thinking? Are you crazy?
Yale: No I'm rational! You're gonna take her from me! SHES ALL I HAVE VINNIE!
Vinnie: Yale you have me!
Yale: No I don't. You have Malina. I'm alone! Except for Casey, I can't lose her. I won't let you take her!
Vinnie: I'm not trying to take her! That's why we're co parenting! We're in this together!
Yale: No we're not.
Vinnie: Yale don't do this please.
Yale: Vinnie please move.
Vinnie: Yale
Yale: Vinnie move.

As I tried to get past Vinnie, my hands slipped and Casey hit the ground head first.

More screams and tears came.

And blood.

Yale: OH MY GOD!
Vinnie: MALINA CALL 911! NOW!
Malina: What's happening?
Vinnie: Just call- fuck it

Vinnie picked casey up and raced out of his apartment sprinting down the street.

I tried to follow him but he was going too fast.

Yale: WHERE ARE YOU GOING???

I hailed another cab over hoping to catch up.

Vinnie managed to run all the way to the nearest hospital. It wasn't too far but he ran faster than I'd ever seen anyone run before. He truly loved Casey.
