December 16th, 4 months since diagnosis

"The kids have a surprise for you." Amelia said.
"Oh they do?" Link smiled.
"Yeah, the house is all decorated." Amelia laughed softly.
"I'm sorry." Link said.
"Why?" Amelia asked.
"For making you sad like this." Link said.
"Don't be. I just love you and I don't want to lose you." Amelia grabbed his hand.
"You are free to go home Atticus. This is for you Mrs. Shepherd. Beverly. She's an angel. Call her when you need her. Atticus as for you, only bed to shower, no downstairs, changing the gauze will hurt badly but it's to help you. If you recognize symptoms of psychosis setting in we can go ahead and prescribe anti psychotics when needed. Again I'm so sorry." Dr. Rutten said.
The medics helped Link into a wheelchair and got him home. When he finally made it upstairs the bedroom door had streamers hanging from it.
Sage and Scout had decorated the walls with pictures and drawings. The wall above the bed had a sign in big letters "WELCOME HOME DADDY."
"Did you guys do all this for me?" Link smiled.
"Yes." Sage smiled.
"You scared us daddy." Scout said.
"I'm okay bubba." Link said getting into bed.
Day 1 of however many more he would spend in this bed.
"How about we let daddy get comfortable and then later he can read to you guys. Go help Uncle Marcus and Aunt Donna." Amelia said.
Amelia sat next to him and he wrapped his arm around her. She leaned her head onto his shoulder.
"I love you Mills." Link sighed.
"I love you too." Amelia said.
"I forgive you." Link said softly.
"If you don't I get it, I wouldn't forgive me either." Amelia said.
"I don't want to die angry. You are the love of my life the woman I dreamed of. I cant be angry at you." Link said.
"I love you." Amelia whispered tears burning her eyes.
"We don't tell my babies yet." Link sighed.
"Link." Amelia said.
"Please, I want a few more good days for them. Before their small little worlds fall apart." Link said.
"I always told myself I didn't want them to know pain existed." Amelia said.
"Me too. They're my babies. I don't want them to hurt." Link said.
"A few more good days, then we tell them." Amelia reasoned.
"A few more good days." Link said sadly.
