Drake's words still stuck with me. I felt as if he finally thought of me differently now. I started to feel as if we had changed now, as if everything that's led up to now has changed us as people. I didn't feel so annoyed with him anymore like I had always in the past, when we had first met.

I went to find Amber. She was busy counting and stocking the remains of the food we still had left for the camp.
"Hey, Louise was looking for you earlier." She said to me as I approached her.
"Why, did she say why she needed me?"
"No, though she seemed somewhat worried about something, I don't know." She gave a slight sigh.
"Emily, do you still think it's safe here?"
"Honestly-I don't know, I wish I knew." I replied to her.
"I had heard some people talking about what had happened on the run, where you confronted David on his horrible idea."
"Oh." I said quietly. My mind started to race with possible answers for Louise wanting me, was it that David was out for me now?
Amber stopped counting the food and turned to me, she had a serious look in her face.
"Do you think he is going to come after us now?" She sounded slightly worried.
"No, we should be fine." I knew I was lying to myself, I knew he was out for me.
I left Amber to finish, and made my way to find Louise. She was busy talking to some of the camp guards when I approached her.
"I've been looking for you, we need to talk." She told me.
"About what, is this out what happened on the run?" I asked her.
"I guess you could say that." she gave a small sigh.
"David, lets just say he isn't happy right now with you..." She hesitated. "Or your friends."
"Does this mean we have to leave? Is he going to kill us or something?" I was worried now for our lives, I didn't want Amber or Drake to be involved in this.
"Listen, I can try to reason with him, but in the meantime don't do anything to piss him off, I'm your only protection against him."
I nodded at her and she nodded back, leaving me alone. I walked back to find Amber and fill her in on our conversation.
"What did she want with you?" She asked me.
"It was about the run, she said that David's not happy with us right now."
"With us?" She asked me in a confused way.
"Yeah," I paused. "He has it out for us now."
"What are we going to do?" I could hear her scared tone as she spoke.
"I have to tell Drake, I guess that's the only way right now." I said to her thinking about what he would do after I told him.
"Emily," she hesitated, "maybe we should just go. We-we can't kill anymore people."
I thought about what she had said. People would die, either it would be just David, or one of us. The chances were grim of us surviving whatever he had plan.

The day began to reach its close as the sun started to set casting a orange haze over the trees. I sat around the campfire with Amber beside me waiting for food, that some of the people were busily doing.
"Shit, David's here, what should we do?" I heard Amber whisper to me.
I saw David, and two men following him, possibly looking for me. I sat quietly, keeping an eye on him and watching him and his men.
I whispered back to Amber "keep quiet, just watch them and be ready for whatever they might do."
She gave a slight nod and then, stared into the fire as I occasionally look to see where he was.
"So, why aren't you helping cook?" A voice whispered behind me.
I stayed silent, and kept looking at the fire.
David crouched down to us and started talking to us in a disturbing tone.
"Listen, I don't know what is going on here-but, I do know that you've been partnering with some of the people here. So, tell me who they are and nothing should happen to you and your friends." He then gave a slight laugh.
"Leave us alone, please." I asked.
"No, I want answers so, tell me."
I motioned for Amber to follow me as I got up and started walking to the tent.
"You dumb bitch, tell me right now." He yelled behind me.
I turned to face him, revealing he was pointing a gun at me and Amber.
"Asshole, stop!" I heard a man yell, only to see drake try to tackle David. Making him fire a stray bullet into the air.
"Look, at what you've started. This was a nice place before you showed up and fucked up everything! I mean, you don't listen, you ruin everything! We can't trust you."
"Lou-Louise, she-she's been helping us okay? Can we just explain to you-"
"Take them to building, we'll talk about this there and get Louise."
His men grabbed Amber and I and forcefully dragged us to the building I had been put into when we had first arrived.
My mind raced, was he going to kill us? I thought about Louise and what I had done telling him about her. We just had to wait now, fearing for what might happen.
