The girls had come back everyday since their first meeting. It been a week and they all seemed to fall into some form of a routine. 

The group of vampires, witches and human were downstairs in the living room of the Cullen Residence, absolutely having the time of their lives. Well, for some that is. 

Emmett, Caroline, Jasper, Jackson, Rosalie and Alice were in an intense game of The Game of Life. Caroline had somehow made every decision to get her the most money possible in the game, with paying very little on everything else. Needless to say, there were a few uproars about the possibility of her cheating. 

But who needed to cheat when you have Emmett as the banker?

Alice was a close second, her visions helping her make decisions in the long run, but her spins always keeping her one behind Caroline. Jackson and Jasper fought for last place, the two being unable to get past Emmett, who sealed himself in 4th for the entirety of the game. 

Esme and Katherine were in a deep discussion about decorating their new home. A discussion Edward had forced himself into just to talk to his mate. The three were sat off to the side. Katherine and Edward were sat very close to each other, a fact that Caroline ignored to enjoy the rest of her night. 

Carlisle had been forced to oversee the board game, an action brought on by Emmett and Jasper arguing over a counting issue that Emmett seemed to have when it came to moving his game piece. 

"If she wins I'll never hear the end of it," Jackson murmurs to Jasper. The two watched as she merrily moved her car 10 spaces from the end, with a stack of fake money in her lap. 

"Should we just flip the board at this point?"

"Nah, Rose will get mad and will make me sleep on the couch down here for a week. We better pray Alice ends up beating her."

Carlisle laughed to himself over the two's conversation. He saw how Caroline would flick her finger slightly in order to push the wheel to whatever she wanted. He saw how Emmett would 'accidentally' give her a little extra bills than she was supposed to have. He also could see Emmett's hands slowly inching towards Caroline's under the coffee table. 

It made him happy to finally have his son happy. Emmett had been the last in their family to have any connections of the romantic kind, and it was nice to see him find his one. 

The game continued and to the demise of Jackson and Jasper, Caroline won with a clean sweep. What no one else suspected was that their game had went on for over an hour. It was now about 10pm, a fact no one seemed to check when Emmett suggested they watch a movie all together. 

Some couples were on the ground, like Edward and Katherine. They were in their own world, a world Caroline hated with every fiber of her body. 

The rest of the group were up on the couch, or in Carlisle and Esme's case, sat comfortably in a loveseat. Jackson and Caroline sprung to share the only blanket in the house. That was one of the things they had in common. The two cousins were almost always freezing. Charlie thought it was funny how they shared that of all things. 

Emmett and Rosalie were on the other sides of Jackson and Caroline, probably not helping much to their coldness. Caroline could ignore the coldness of Emmett's skin for the forever calmness she felt around him. 

The movie they had playing dragged on, but it seemed to hold the attention of Jackson and Caroline well. The plot was a bit worn out in Jasper's opinion, but who wasn't a sucker for a rom com?

The movie ended near midnight and yet again, no one checked the time. This time the group put in a horror movie, one that Caroline seemed to enjoy and despise at the same time. "Oh my god why is it crawling!" she screamed, hiding head in Emmett's shoulder while peaking out to see what else was happening.
