third person pov (Emmett focus)
Emmett and Caroline returned back to the Cullen Residence after a few hours. He had refused to let anyone near her and simply took her back up to their room. That night instead of talking, they sat in each other's presence and watched a mindless movie.
Emmett could feel the bond between them strengthening. He waited all these years for her and he felt as if every minute was worth it to have her. Nothing would ever hurt her with him around. Not another vampire, not the Volturi, not even her sister. No one would touch his mate. Ever.
She fell asleep after a good half way through the movie. He let her burrow herself into his chest, keeping his arms around her in a protective hold.
She slept for what felt like, to Emmett, forever. The next morning came so slow and he could already hear the other's getting ready for training. It was not long before Esme was calling for Caroline to get dressed.
"Caroline, if you wake up now, I'll have Esme make you cinnamon toast for breakfast," he tried to make yet another deal with her. He had made multiple bargains with her in the 5 minutes he had been trying to wake her up. The last had been to take her to the Amazon to look at the plants.
"Does she have the good bread still?" she immediately perks up.
"I still have the good bread, Caroline!" Esme yells from downstairs.
And with that her eyes snap open. She flipped the covers off them and took off to the kitchen. Emmett had never seen someone move so fast over cinnamon toast.
"Emmett, I am coming into your room whether you like it or not. I have outfits to pick out," Alice simply states as she barges into my room, Jasper close behind her, looking terrified.
In true Alice fashion, she ignored Emmett entirely and started digging through his dresser. "Why does he still own this? Why haven't I burned these yet?" she muttered to herself.
"Hey, I like all of those clothes!"
"No you don't. Jasper come over and hold these for me," she told him, bringing her mate over to the industrial sized closet. Jasper moved silently and Emmett could only howl in laughter.
The sound of a door creaking could be heard and Caroline's harsh breaths in the doorway. "Whatcha holding there?"
"Clothes because Emmett can't match clothes to save his life," Jasper stated, nodding off to the vampires current pairing of an orange Mets shirt and purple shorts.
Caroline looked him up and down,
Alice comes bounding out of the closet, taking the clothes back out of Jasper's hands and handing them to us. "You're welcome. Now we're off to Edward and Katherine's room. Come come, clothing rack."
The pair tried to contain their laughter as they both walked around Emmett's room to get ready. Alice had laid out dark grey shirt with some buttons on it and a dark pair of jeans for Emmett. It extenuated his limbs and gave a large focus to his pride and joy, his muscles. Caroline was given a dark grey, athletic zip-up sweatshirt and a pair of black leggings. Underneath her sweatshirt, she had on a white athletic tank top.
(A/N: It's basically Alice and Esme's outfits, just different colors.)
"I don't think that you can exactly wear dress shoes with that outfit, Em," Caroline teases.
"Ah fuck, you're right. I'll go look for them and you can change in here," he offer to her. Caroline gave him a sweet smile and a small nod. Emmett slipped out of the room and he felt a smile creep its way onto his face.
