"I just remembered, Katherine and I have a meeting with the wolves today," Caroline said.

Emmett started grumbling, grasping her close to him. "No, don't go. You can stay here with us."

"Oh stop whining, we've had this meeting set up since we decided to move here."

Almost as if Alice could hear their conversation, she came waltzing in with the clothes that Rosalie had picked out for Caroline earlier. "I heard you had a meeting, so I have clothes!" The clothes consisted of a black tank top, some white sneakers, and a pair of large blue sweatpants. Alice left the room without anything other than a smile and a thumbs up.

Caroline went through the clothes, picking up the sweatpants to show Emmett. "I'm guessing these are yours?"

"Yeah I thought you'd like it," he told her, his eyes focused on the ground and a bashful look on his face.

"Thank you, now shoo. I need to change."

Without a word, Emmett left the room. He waited outside for her to finish changing, but before he could even reenter his own room, Rose shoved him away from the door and slammed it shut behind her.

He impatiently knocked on the door, wanting back in HIS room and back with his mate. "Can I please enter my own room, Rose."

"No, I'm doing her hair. Go watch tv with Jackson and Jasper," Rose yelled back through the door. Emmett muttered under his breath about wanting to be with Caroline as he dragged himself down the stairs.

Katherine and Edward were sat oddly close to each other on the loveseat. Like practically on top of each other. It made Emmett fake gag as he passed the two. He thought it was weird how they acted so much like a couple after only knowing each other for a little over a week AND Edward had just been in a relationship. He could see how Caroline was annoyed with her sister.

After a few moments of awkward silence, Caroline descended the stairs with Rose beside her. "You know, Edward, you look like you watch people sleep," Caroline told him. Her face was completely straight and she was staring deep into his soul.

"You told her!" Edward yelled to Rose. Rose only gave him a cheery smile and a dramatic wink before casually walking to the kitchen. Carlisle and Esme, who had innocently been making breakfast for Caroline, watched the scene before them unfold.

Katherine dropped the piece of toast that she had been eating onto Esme's pristine white rug. "You watch people sleep?"

"No!" "Yes."

"How about we move on from this subject and come back to it. Caroline and Katherine really need to be getting across the border," Carlisle chimes in, cutting off the two from starting an argument.

Caroline cleared her throat for a moment, bringing everyones attention to her. "Actually it's just me for this visit."

"What? Caroline we're both supposed to go meet the wolves."

"You haven't done any of the research I asked before we left Ohio. You didn't read any of their legends and seem to want to be with Edward. So, have a nice day with Eddie because I will be going to this meeting. Alone."

Katherine glared at her younger sister. She was pissed that her sister wasn't letting her go on this trip. She was the oldest, she should be the one setting up meetings like this. She should be the one leading what was left of their coven, but she had already lost that title to her younger sister. How embarrassing it was to Katherine that her little sister was the leader and not her.

"Fine."

Caroline rolled her eyes at her older sister's behavior. That was the entire reason she wasn't going with her to meet the shifters. She quickly ate some eggs and toast that had been set out for her. "Thank you Esme and Carlisle," Caroline thanked the couple and received smiles from both.
