third person POV
The Bonneau sisters were finally on their way to Forks. They both felt so torn leaving their childhood home, the memories of their family, all behind. But they knew they needed a fresh start. Katherine couldn't depend on Caroline for the rest of her life and they needed to keep the family legacy alive.
Caroline was really the only one in contact with Jackson through the whole process. She had been the one to track down the vampires in the area and arrange a meeting with the shapeshifters to maintain peace.
Katherine's only job had been pack her clothes.
The plane ride was long and gave both girls large headaches. The only part that they liked about flying was that they got to wear their comfy clothes on the plane and not get judged. They hated flying for many reasons, but the air pressure is the biggest issue of all. They hate how much it hurts their ears and always having to chew gum to make it go away.
Once their plane finally landed the two girls practically had run off of the plane with their bags in hand. They were to meet Jackson at noon so they could go unpack their new home and go eat something. Katherine was still mad that she didn't know the whole plan for tonight and that she was left in the dark about when they were meeting Jacksons friends.
"Katherine, Caroline! Over here," Jackson shouted from near the arrival gate. Caroline almost cried from seeing her cousin, her last living family member other than her very own sister. Caroline went running through the sea of people with her bag flying behind her as she ran into her cousins awaiting arms. "Hey bug where's Katherine?" Jackson asked as he pats Caroline's head, that only met his chest.
"Oh I'm right here dear cousin."
The trio climbed into Jackson's new pick up truck, a gift from Rosalie. They caught up in the car, talking to Jackson about some of Caroline's new achievements. The younger girl however, was staring out the window at the trees. Occasionally she'd see things she knew were more than just her imagination.
Call it intuition. Or maybe a warning.
The group pulled up to the new Bonneau residence. Instead of a singular car being there for Katherine, there were two. "Jackson why are there two cars in the driveway. I swear if it is that terrible cousin of yours, I will chop her arm off," Katherine states calmly but you could hear the malice in her tone as she spoke.
"Of course it's not her, I'm not that stupid," Jackson replied with a playful tone. Caroline however was no longer looking at the house.
Caroline wasn't listening to the two, though. She was trying keep herself from feeling hope fill her chest. She had an odd feeling within her. Not one of excitement, but one of new love? She didn't know what it was, but she did not like it one bit.
"Come on Care." Said teen followed behind the two, not wanting to enter the house.
"Hey guys! These are my cousins, Katherine and Caroline. Girls, these are Carlisle, Jasper and Emmett," Jackson excitingly introduces them, his grin spread across his face.
With the new arrivals of Caroline and Katherine, Jaspers once rigid stature turned calm. His back loosening and him now smiling at the family. Emmett had his jaw slacked, to the point where it looked like he would start drooling at any moment.
"Hello, Jackson mentioned to us that you would need some help unpacking and we simply wanted to offer our help. If you'd like, we could all leave if you're uncomfortable of course," Carlisle calmly says as he tries easing any uncertainty that Katherine had about the strangers in her home.
The three vampires took note of how their hunger seemed to disappear the moment the sisters walked in. Jasper feeling more human than he had since he was changed and the hunger he thought he couldn't deal with being stripped from him. Carlisle watched Caroline, taking note of her more closed off stature, the sadness and her slightly frail frame.
