rose likes a human

Rose's POV

I had never thought two humans could make me so nervous, but I guess there's always a first for everything. Jackson had been telling me about his cousins these past few days and my heart broke for them. Hopefully we could eventually become friends. 

Esme and I had spent a good part of the past 2 hours cooking an intricate pasta dish for the humans and Edward had insisted on Bella coming over. Or Bella insisted on coming over. I don't know and I really couldn't care less. But now the nauseating blood bag was at the house now. 

I could hear the rumble of Jacksons truck coming into the driveway and three additional heartbeats. The thing that stood out was the scent of Isabella had now disappeared from the air. It was almost as if she wasn't even here. 

"And this is our home," I heard Carlisle say from the driveway. 

"More like castle. Do you own all of this land around here?" a very soft voice chimed. It was feathery soft, more meek than Isabella and had a certain warmth to it. 

As they grew closer to the door, I could hear Carlisle laugh at bit. "Yes we own the acres behind our house. You're welcome to go explore them whenever you'd like."

More movement was made and Jackson's loud laugh rang in my ears. "Not now Care, you gotta meet Rose." Footsteps followed and I could distinguish everyone's, but two. 

When I turned to the door, I was met with two new faces. I knew everything about their faces from the pictures Jackson had been showing us the past few days. Caroline's eyes were the thing that made her look different. They weren't as bright, duller now but still beautiful. They were both so beautiful, probably two of the most gorgeous humans I had ever seen. 

Katherine moved forward, flashing a smile to her younger sister as she walked by. I didn't need to have Jasper's gift to know Caroline had a certain hostility when her sister smiled at her. 

"Hello, I'm Katherine and this is my sister Caroline. It's nice to meet you both."

Alice rushed forward, probably a little too excited, but who am I to judge. "Hi, I'm Alice and I just know that we are going to be great friends!!" She rushed in to hug Katherine, who accepted the embrace, but ended it quickly. My eyes flashed back over to Caroline, who was almost hiding behind Emmett and Jackson. 

She was much more timid, but still as strikingly beautiful as her sister. From what I can see is that they weren't very similar, looks being the only thing they had in common truly. "Hello, it's nice to finally meet Jackson's cousins. He speaks to fondly of both of you," I give both of them small smiles, though only Katherine returned it. 

Before anyone else could say something, I hear the annoying whiny voice of Edward. "Edward, who's here?" This was followed by the footsteps of none other than Isabella. 

When Bellas descended from the staircase, my eyes flickered over to Caroline, who was now completely hidden behind Emmett. Eddy boy also seemed to not be able to keep his eyes off of Katherine. 

"Hello, I'm Katherine and that's my sister over there," Katherine greeted Edward, her eyes only staying on Edward. 

"Jackson why didn't you tell me they were coming?"

"Probably because I only wanted them to see Rose and the rest of the family," he shrugged. Bella only huffed at her cousin. 

Carlisle cleared his throat, probably trying to ease the now tense air. "Is there an issue here, Bella?"

"Just that they're raging bitches," Bella mumbles under her breath, causing some odd echo of growls to come from both Emmett and Edward. Seems like someone figured out that a blood singer doesn't mean mate.
