Author's Note:
I apologize for the short chapter and the very out-of-character Emma. My writing is in a dull state right now, so I'm finding it harder than usual to write a story. I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

Emma didn't question about the "party" Ray was going to.

She thought it was going to be another gathering with friends that included food, movies, and the occasional drink.

She told Ray that she wanted to join too, but all Ray did was shrug and make surprisingly well-made excuses.

Plus, she's got an essay to do, so she could afford to miss a little socializing.

-

It is now 1 a.m., and Emma couldn't have been more annoyed at Ray.

"Where is that idiot?" she mumbled, sighing and shaking her head in disappointment.

Suddenly, after the three whole hours she's been waiting, she got a phone call. A rather urgent one at that, considering the unbelievably fast vibration speeds her phone was running at.

She gratefully picked it up, only to hear the sounds of a seemingly intense party, with music blasting through all directions, and a rather frantic Gilda in the background.

Surprisingly, it wasn't Ray who spoke.

"Ray! Get off that tree!" Norman shouted.

"But I wanttt to seeee Emmaaaaa," whined a slurrish Ray.

"Oh, for god's sake, you can see her if you get off that tree."

"Norman? What's going on? Ray?" Emma started to panic.

"Emma, everything's fine. Ray's just had too many drinks," Norman explained whilst dragging a whiney Ray.

"What about you?"

"I'm fine, just sober. Hey Emma, do you mind coming over and taking him? He's insisting that he needs to see his Emma before leaving. Ugh, he really is an idiot."

"Feeling's mutual. I'll be down there in twenty minutes. Your house, correct?"

"Please hurry. He's acting like a whole grown-ass monkey right now."

Emma hung up and dashed to change.

"I'm withholding cuddles after this," Emma muttered.

-

Emma arrived to total chaos.

As she shuffled through a passed-out Don and a panicky Phil, she finally found Norman practically wrestling with Ray.

"WHO TOOK MY EMMA?" Ray hollered. Emma dipped her head down and blushed, but quickly shook it off.

"Ray, for goodness sake, I'm right here. Stop strangling Norman and let's go home."

Ray wildly spun around to meet her eyes, visibly relaxing once he made eye contact.

"You're banned from cuddles for a week."

-

Dragging a clingy Ray to bed was not easy. Emma was glad that Ray wasn't a clingy person in general, just when he's drunk.

It took a furious Gilda, a very confused Don, and a tired-from-all-this-bullshit Norman to even get Ray mounted on the bed.

It was a very difficult operation, considering Norman was in his lost-all-braincells mood and Ray clinging onto Emma like his life depended on it.

When he was finally sound asleep, Emma was cuddled awkwardly inside Ray's arms. All Norman, Don and Gilda decided to sleep on the floor for tonight.

Ray was never allowed to drink again.
