Kate’s POV
“You have some explaining to do!” Isy was clearly mad. She never yelled at me unless something serious was going on. “Why did you leave? Where did you go? Why didn’t you te-”
“Okay! I get it! What I did was totally unacceptable. I should have called, but I was really upset.” Isy and I were sitting in the cinema room talking while Liam was in the game room playing PAC MAN. Not five minutes into the house, Isy told Liam she needed to talk to me.
“If you were so upset...I mean why would run away from us?” Isy looked like she was really hurt, like she’d lost me forever.
“Isy, I was really upset with my brother, and I wasn’t thinking. And then Liam came and...”
“Ohhh”
“Isy, your one of the most important people in my life. You will always be my best friend. Kay?”
“Okay.” Isy replied. “Hey, so what happened after you ran away?”
Since she was my best friend, I told her everything. I told her how I thought Liam was Lucas at first, how shocked I was when I found out he wasn’t. Everything. Even my feelings for Liam that I myself didn’t even understand.
“You really like him, don’t you?” Isy was smiling sheepishly. Of course she knew the answer.
i nodded my head. “When I’m around Liam, I feel complete. And when he hugs me, I feel like I’m at home. I haven’t felt that way about anybody.: I knew there was no use in denying how I feel for him.
“I’m so happy for you. Now you see what happens when you open yourself up. But, uh, guessing by the way Liam acts towards you, I can tell he’s liked you for a really long time.”
“Really? How long do you think?”
“I don’t know, beats me. “ Isy was so happy for me. How I knew was that way? It was because she would not stop smiling from ear to ear.
“Hey, Isy? Totally out of the blue, but can I change into some of your clothes?” For some reason, I started feeling totally aware of my wardrobe. I looked down at my clothes, them I remembered that I was wearing some of Liam’s clothes.
“Why are you blushing?”
“Huh?” I looked up to see Liam standing in the doorway. He was smiling at me, like what he saw was all he could ever want.
How long had he been standing there? The whole time? Did he the part where I admitted my feelings? Oh my gosh! What is he did?
LIAM’S POV
I was getting tired of playing PAC MAN over and over. Of course there were other games in Isabella’s game room, but PAC MAN was the only arcade game I ever played. And plus I was missing Kate. Over the past couple of hours, I had come to realize my feelings for her. Before today, you know I thought it was just some crush, but I’ve come to realize that it’s more than a crush. I really like like her. But then....what if she didn’t like me back.
But anyways, I thought I might go see what those two were doing.
I coming up the stairs and I heard them talking, but it didn’t seem like anything important, So went up and stood in the doorway. I couldn’t stop my eyes from going straight to Kate. Every time I’m around her all I can think about is what if we were a couple. She’s so perfect. She’s smart, funny, beautiful. Gosh she’s so beautiful. And them most don’t even notice how beautiful she is.
I remember the first day of freshman year. We bumped into each other, we were too busy trying not to get lost. Back then, she was the cutest thing ever.
Looking at her now, only brought on a flutter in my stomach and a smile to face. I hadn’t even her what Kate and Isy were talking about, but Kate was blushing like crazy.
“Why are you blushing?” I asked, totally giving away my cover. I don’t know why, but she was the cutest whenever she blushed. Probably she reminds me so much of the freshman Kate I meant the very first day of school.
