KANE'S POV

Monjunis was my favorite restaurant in the whole world. I don't know why she had to pick this place. I was more likely to pay more attention to the food. That's probably the reason why.

I looked at the time on my phone. It was 7:16. Katie should be here by now. Yeah, I know. I'm getting a little paranoid, but she really should be here by now.

"Hi, I'm Samantha. I'll be your waitress tonight." Samantha was a red head and had green eyes like Isy, but she didn't have the same sparks in her eyes as Isy did. But Samantha was really pretty though. She seemed to be one of those girls who you could totally be honest with, or the kind who could read any situation and know what was going on without ever getting involved. But today, of course, she was wearing a black V-neck shirt, probably from Aeropostale, and black skinny jeans. Now I normally hate skinny jeans, they only work for certain people. But Samantha pulled it off better than anyone, better than any model. "Are you waiting for someone?"

"Yeah," I looked at her, "I'm waiting for my sister to get here."

"Oh, okay, well, I'll just come back in a little while."

"She should be here at any moment now. Oh, wait here she is." She had just walked through the door, well more like jogging.

"Hey," she said. Did she just really say hey! Of all the things she could say to someone who was worried sick about you, she chooses hey?

I tried to calm myself before I got all out of hand. "Hey yourself. Long time no see." Okay that just slipped out. "Sorry."

"It's okay. I understand." She said to the table. Her head was hanging like a little puppy that just got caught.

Samantha cleared her throat. I totally forgot about her. "I don't mean to interrupt you guys, but could I get you something to drink?"

Katie raised just a little. "Could I get some mint tea?"

"Of course sweetie." I don't know why she called her sweetie. Katie and Samantha were practically the same age. "And what about you?"

"Diet coke." My voice was suddenly hoarse. Sometimes really don't understand my own body. "Thanks."

"Did you guys want any appetizers, salad, or anything?"

"Umm No, I don't think so."

"Alright, I'll be back with your drinks." Samantha smiled and turned around.

"Danny?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm really sorry about my little stunt. I was acting like a little child. I shouldn't -"

"Katie, it's not that. It's the fact that you've never acted this way before. It was mostly the fact that this was really unexpected. And plus your my little sister." I could tell she was feeling better now. Katie was always felt better when I told her that the reason that I acted the way I acted was because she was my little sister, and I guess for her those five little words meant the world to her. And to tell you the truth she meant the world to me.

"Well since I'm your little sister, will you promise not to tell mom and dad about this?"

"Anything for you sis." Me and Katie were cool again. And it couldn't have been a better time for Samantha to come forward.

"Okay, guys! I've got your drinks. Here's a diet coke for you and here's your mint tea." She placed them down where they belonged with meticulous grace. As she placed them down, I just happened to glance at her hands.

They looked like artist hands. More so a potter's. I could tell they had been used many times. She must sculpt statures or throw pots.

"Yeah, I throw pots in case you were wondering." Samantha was clearly aware of me looking at her hands. I looked up at her face and she was smiling at me as though she didn't mind at all.

"Sorry about that." And to tell you the truth, I really was. I was a really sincere person deep down.

"It's okay. I really don't mind. Alright, I'll be right back, I'm going to check on your food."

"Thanks." Both Katie and I said it in unison. And that made her laugh a little and even I laughed.

"You know what?" I began.

"What?"

"Let's forget you ever ran away. Is that okay?"

"More than you know." She smiled like she was the happiest girl in the world.

KATIE'S POV

Did he really just say that?

"Your my little sister. I can't stand you being this way. And I don't want to be the one who gets to be the bad guy."

"Kane, one day you going to have kids, and you're going to have to be the bad guy sometimes."

"Katie Kat, that's going to be a long time from now.

KANE'S POV

"Hey guys. Looks like you food is ready." Samantha had come out with two plates of spaghetti piled high. There were two giant meatballs on top of each. My mouth instantly started watering.

"Wait, Did you order that?" Katie looked at me bewildered.

Come to think of it, I didn't. I looked to Samantha.

"Oh, a young man and women over there ordered it for you guys." Samantha pointed to what then looked like a high school couple. The guy was wearing a sky blue surf shirt and cargo shorts. He was very tan, and of course, he had blonde hair. But I couldn't shake this feeling of familiarity. Then I looked to the girl and the first thing I noticed was the similarity of her to Samantha.

The same red hair. Not really red, butt an auburn color. Also the same posture. Up straight, but with a slight slouch. It was almost like they were twins, but I knew better. I knew this girl anywhere, she practically lived at our house and spend every other night. But who was the guy with her? He seemed awfully familiar. Then it all clicked.
