Chapter 1
Natalia's POV
"What?" I exclaimed when I heard the news.
"Natalia," my mom said but then stopped when I gave her my evil glare," Tali, you know you heard me loud and clear. You are going to have to spend the summer with your distant relative Paul. I know I promised that you will be able to go to Milan with me but something came up and you're father is busy with work..."
"Then why can't I just stay home?" I interrupted, knowing that nothing would persuade her. My mom continued, "You are only 16 Natalia! Way to young to stay at home alone."
"But Jace stays home all the time." I reasoned.
"Jaynelle-Alice," she said actually using Jace's real name, "It's not you. It's final, Paul already offered and you haven't spent any time with him lately..."
"Because he lives in LONDON. He's just a stupid bodyguard." I shot back, and stormed to my room, ignoring my mom's calls. I decided to call Jace.
"Hi Jace!" I said through the phone. Jace and I already planned what we were going to do on our summer break. Now we had to change our plans, Mom always gets what she wants. Mom goes on business trips all the time. My Dad? Well, he passed away years ago in a car accident on his way home.
That was when I became friends with Jace, if we ever made it into Hogwarts School of Magic, she would be in Slytherin, I think. We had the same dance class and we had to become partners in choreographing a dance, it didn't really matter anyway because she ended up quitting. Yet, we still became close friends besides out differences. She's more of a skater chick-music obsessed-artistic freak while I'm a street dancer. I dance anything from hip hop to ballroom but most of my influence is from ballet.
"Hey Tali, why'd you wake up so early? You know I need my sleep." Jace mumbled.
"It's 10:23, plenty of time to sleep. Anyway, I think that I might be able to stay at home this summer instead of being shipped of to one of my relatives." I blurted out, hoping that she would be conscious enough to remember.
"Tali, just ask your mom if I can come with you. I don't think your relatives would mind," Jace said.
"That's a great idea Jace! I'll go ask mum if you can come. I'll text, O-kay?" I exclaim.
"Sure," she said. "Text me when I'm not asleep." After that I hear a beep telling me she hung up. I wonder who Paul bodygaurds?
