In this AU, Tsumugi was killed by another student (not actually part of the game). Most of this will be Fanon. Although the mastermind is no longer alive and they know the truth, the characters still have no idea how to get out of the Danganronpa world and back to reality. Their past is real though, it is not made up. There was another murder before hand, but the victim and blackened are made up. All the ultimates in the game are still alive. ☺
Shuichi has depression. He does cut, and takes medications. Why? Well you'll find out later ;). Sometimes he over does it with medicine he doesn't need.He also has trust issues from his past. However, even before Danganronpa, he had a despair disease. It was the only one of it's kind and they were working on a cure before he was taken away. His illness is deadly, as explained in the first chapter. It is worse than his 'friend', Kaito Momota's condition.
Kaito accidentally coughed up blood during the trial of Tsumugi's murder (like he did in DanganronpaV3: Killing Harmony: in Korekiyo's murder class trial). However, everyone is unaware of Shuichi's disease.
