I walked back into the dorm placing my bag on the table and slipping off my jacket when I heard light conversations coming from the bedroom, I sighed as I lightly dusted my black turtleneck hoping to get rid of any semblance of smell that could have been left from my personal time a few minutes earlier.
"What's going on?" I shuffled past the girls, placing my things on the bed before taking a seat. Flora held a suitcase in one hand and sat in front of Bloom explaining a holiday celebrated in Magix knows as the Day Of The Rose, nothing I'd ever heard of but decided to listen in either way. "Oh, like Mother's day?" Bloom inquired as Musa joined in on the explanation, "sounds like it" I replied as I slipped off my shoes and laid back in my silk bed sheets.
I closed my eyes and after a few minutes Stella peeked from outside the door of the room with a question, "hey Musa, Bloom and I are going to the dining hall to get some for, wanna come?" She tilted her head as she struggled to get her heels on, I simply nodded and lifted myself out of the bed and onto the floor. I was already changed so I just slipped my boots back on before we made our way to the dining hall.
It was empty, no trace of any other students other than the long rows of empty seats. "all the teachers are gone, just Griselda left" Just then we heard a teacher greet us from the side of our table, Professor Wizgiz gave us a large smile before dismissing himself to go see his mother. As the he left, Stella turned to Bloom and me while taking a sip of her tea, "and why aren't you two going back home?" the question sounded stale, for Bloom it was obvious. "I just feel like if I saw them again, I would get even more homesick and not want to come back" she spoke in the most sincere tone when she turned to me, she knew I didn't get along with our parents but she never made it out to be a big deal. "I just don't get along with them too well, I'd only go if Bloom was going, but who knows maybe not even then" I took a sip of my own coffee when I turned to Stella, asking her the same question.
She began to lightly dust away from the fact her parents were getting divorced, it made me sad to watch her push her feelings about it aside when she turned to Musa and asked her. She lowered her head before explaining that she lost her mother when she was a young girl, Stella immediately apologized to which Musa said it was fine. Bloom made a quick joke in an attempt to raise the mood when Stella decided that we would all go out to get our minds off the holiday.
Just as Stella was hyping us up to do something an alert rang through her phone, she opened the message with a squeal "Prince Skye and his friends are in town and he's inviting me to the Rose Ball this evening" she yelled in glee as she read the message so quick it was nearly incredible.
Stell did invite us to join her in town but Musa nicely declined before making her way back to the dorms, as I was about to decline Bloom took it upon herself to drag me into town. "what a lovely sister" I remarked sarcastically as we tried finding the boys in the crowds. "You love me" she smiled as Stella beckoned us over, Riven, Skye, and Brandon surrounded her as Bloom and I drew closer. Riven spared me the usual glare while both Skye and Brandon hugged me, similar to the one they gave me the first time flora and I visited Magix alone.
"Hey" I greeted them as they separated into their own conversations, I watched the racers on the nearby race track as one of them got dusted off his bike and crashed, causing the bike to go flying straight into the surrounding force field. "See totally safe" Brandon looked over the biker who was bleeding and tried to calm Bloom to the idea of him racing. We walked over to the track, the boys having arguments while we talked about Stell who seemed very excited about the dance later that day.
"So Riven, Brandon has Bloom cheering for him and I have Stella but you don't have anyone," Skye remarked, kind of harsh in my opinion but Rivens response was "I can have any girl I want, wanna bet?"
