sincere's pov
vivian, the ever-optimistic and preppy manager who had been with me from the start, came skipping into my penthouse, practically glowing with excitement. "sincere!" she sang, her smile infectious. "i have great news!"
i turned in my seat, already intrigued. "spill," i said, genuinely excited. lately, life had been a bit dull, and vivian always knew how to liven things up.
sitting idle all day was something i couldn't stand-one project, at least, was what i needed to feel productive. vivian shared that same drive, which is why we made such a great team.
vivian clasped her hands dramatically. "big baller brand wants to collaborate on some pieces!" she exclaimed, throwing in a set of jazz hands for extra flair.
i couldn't believe it. "you're lying!" my jaw dropped as i set my coffee down on the marble countertop, hardly able to process the news.
sin city was the brand i'd co-founded with my twin sister, sinclair. we specialized in everything from fashion to body and cosmetic care, split into two separate but connected branches. while sinclair mostly handled the cosmetics side, i was the one with a passion for designing clothing.
growing up, i was the creative, expressive one—always designing, always making. sinclair, on the other hand, was more reserved and academically inclined, with a sharp mind for science and problem-solving, which made her perfect for skincare.
though we clashed often, we balanced each other perfectly. vivian, along with a solid team behind the scenes, helped smooth over any bumps in the road. but even so, getting other brands to collaborate across our two categories wasn't the easiest thing. it wasn't every day a cosmetics and clothing line worked together so seamlessly.
last year, we'd done a successful collaboration with juvia's place, and sinclair had mostly handled that. this, though, was a whole new venture.
vivian was practically bouncing in her chair. "they emailed me recently. i think you'll be interested. we can talk it over with sinclair, and then we'll take it from there. sound good?"
"of course!" i replied, excitement bubbling up.

two months later – sincere's pov
after discussing it with sinclair, we were in agreement—it was a great opportunity. the legal side was taken care of, and now the fun part could begin. i'd already been brainstorming ideas with sinclair, and we had some solid concepts waiting in the vault.
we had a reserved meeting room at headquarters, a place where everything was organized to perfection—laptops, folders, snacks—all thanks to vivian, who was a genius at keeping us on track.
"okay, let's do this," vivian said, glancing over everything. she was on top of her game, as usual.
sinclair leaned in closer to me. "you ready to take the lead?"
"yep," i smiled. "been thinking about this for weeks. i'm excited." it was still odd sometimes, staring into my own reflection when i looked at sinclair, but we'd both learned to embrace our individual strengths.
just as i was about to speak again, a knock at the door interrupted the quiet room. the big baller team had arrived—five minutes early, which was actually on time in the business world.
we stood up, shaking hands and greeting everyone. the full ball family and their manager were all present, each one of them radiating energy.
"it's nice to meet you all. a pleasure to work with you," vivian started. "let's dive right in."
